Kasper, Wes, Vardy… here from the start of one of the clubs greatest eras and all just left with very little acknowledgement. No statue, stand or even anything like a pitch at the training ground to help keep their legacy around the club.

Tbh it's too soon. Maybe when Vardy and Kasper actually retire. Needs some distance from it.

The comments on the YouTube clip is like a Hamza Bangladesh lovin' lol

But that first goal...look how he bends his run to stay onside, that is game intelligence. The second the control and awareness to score that. Both is missing in this team.

Oh Vards, we bloody miss you mate!

Great goals from our greatest player. Still stand by my assertion that he has some responsibility for the rubbish player culture we have developed- as does everyone who is associated with the last couple of years.

Why? They’ve served their time with the club. Any after now just feels like an afterthought.

Man City have it bang on with this, players like Kompany, Aguero, KDB who have helped shape the club have got their recognition once they’ve left.

Wes has also been retired for about 5 years now too.

You look at the craft of both his goals.

The shape and delay on his run for his first. He's clearly confident now cos he didn't snatch at the chance.

The second goal - which how he senses where the ball is going before any of the Bologna defenders. That's a bloke who's had four months with his team-mates and a different culture around them. Yet he still reads it all or knows his new team-mates well enough to know where that ball is going.

As a youngster I would tune it to Serie A coverage on Channel 4 just to watch Gazza, I am finding myself doing the same think to watch Vardy.

You do wonder if the likes of Arsenal did get a deal over the line for him after we won the prem how many goals this bloke would have got. Im amazed he stayed with us for so long but it doesnt surprise me to see what he is doing in Serie A. That game was a million miles an hour, chaos at times with some of Bolognas players having 7 shots on goal. Vards managed two goals, he could have got another as nearly nicked one in forcing a GK save and went to round the GK early doors but didnt quite manage it on his left side.

What I like about the Cremonese set up is they dont seem to sub him, even with him approaching 39 years young and playing 100 mins tonight.

A frickin love this guy so much, I may get out there to watch him live one final time!

Manager already admitted they trained him too hard early in the season. So it's minimal stuff for him now.

Yeah I realise we should never really say anything negative about him because of all he gave us but he was a shit captain. Which I think even he knew really. Was multiple times he didn't want the captaincy.

Can't really see how a good captain would have saved too much because the characters they are won't change. I think a better culture at our club would have meant players like Winks and Faes were gone a long time ago though.

What a legend. To think that it wasn't that long ago many were saying he'd gone over the top and should retire.

That’s true but my annoyance with him was that he was also part of that culture that was really pally with Aiyawatt. Yet, if they’d all had Vardy’s attitude this may not have been an issue.

Thats because they couldnt have known he is a lousy trainer (as I have read about him over the years)

Whilst the likes of Roy Keane call out his team mates and then players when he was a manager for not roaring in during training, Vards has largely paced himself as he doesnt need to replicate what he does on Match day during training. Him being a late starter coupled with his training methods is while IMO he not only is still playing at 39, but hasnt lost that much of his pace. Seeing him run around yesterday timing his runs looked vintage Vards. OK he wasnt steaming in to close down challenges and more conservative on chasing down but he was still very effective.

I don’t blame him either pal just gutted it came to this and to see him still delivering at the highest level shows the quality of the man.

I know I feel ur pain ( I feel it too) like I mentioned previously, Vardy must of seen this shit show coming and thought ( **** THIS I’M OFF ) he was never gonna be offered £140k again to extend his contract. So why not move to Italy 🇮🇹, I reckon he’ll get a rolling contract extension next season also

The way everything was even under Vichai wasn't sustainable. They were same with him but when you're winning people don't scrutinise this stuff.

It's one of them subjects that's hard to approach because of the way he died but I really have a hard time believing he'd have stopped the decline. There were so many occasions we were run just as bad when he was alive, but again the victor rewrites the history books.

There were times under Vichai when mistakes were made (allowing Pearson to leave in 2010, the post title recruitment) but he seemed more willing to act when things were sliding. Shakespeare left quickly and the 2018 summer set us up for the next few years before Rodgers ruined it.

It was never this bad. Not perfect because no owners are but the club had more about it.

It's part of the problem with our wage structure, Vardy can point to players like Winks, Faes, Soumare etc who are on £80-90k a week who dont pull their weight and he is in every right to say he would be hard done by if he didn't earn more.

At Cremonenese where everyone is earning £10k a week £30k a week suddenly seems a lot more reasonable.

We need to get all the high earners out and reset our average wage to £10-20k a week with a team of young hungry players.

More willing to act when they'd not made so many bad decisions that we were absolutely ****ed for PSR. The point is those bad decisions he made were one after the other until he got Pearson in. Then again could have ended bad again with the hilarious non sacking. We forget so much because of the title win.

Simple? That would leave us with about 4 players 🤣

You know there are several others who are paid high wages for doing nothing or destroying the club with their incompetence right? It's not only players.

There's also something called rebuild. Get rid of these players who are proven rubbish for years now and use the academy players. Simple, cheaper, more visionary.

Our club has gradually lost the moral compass and purpose since the tragic accident. People that could help in every single position where ostracised.

There was nothing before the accident. Everything about our history, even simple banners around the ground, went down and were replaced by boring King Power logo's which we still have today.

The only statue we have is of Vichai. No players. Nothing. Vardy should have had a statue as soon as he said he was leaving.

Which also was never absolutely crazy that most of our fans just accepted it.

I know you can't go ripping it all down but you get the sense other fanbases would make enough noise to get more of their history represented.

Completely agree we need to start the rebuild and that doesn’t include Vardy which is sad to say. Get the lot gone for me.
