Where have you read this?  - I mean thank god they want to leave and hopefully we can give them whatever they want to get them out of the door, but haven't read this anywhere?

There have been reports mentioning these players are now looking to leave, primarily on social media and on this forum. They will leave this summer. Just shows what a poor squad and team has been put together. We have a far worse squad than last time we were relegated. And we have not got the players to sell that will bring in decent money. Possibly only Mads and Bilal.

Circumstances will have dictated the announcement. I love Vardy. He's our greatest ever player. We will never have anyone like him again. But, we are no longer a Premier League team. We cannot pay Premier League wages (or at least shouldn't be). We have to move on from Vardy too and look to the future. For all we know, the club has confirm to him that we aren't going to renew, now we aren't in the Premier League.

You are correct on this. I just think the timing is so poor. 2 days after he mentioned sorry for a poor season. He then leaves. I imagine he has been told a few months ago if we go down he will not be offered a new contract. players have not played with any commitment to the club for months. To me the timing of this explains a lot.

there is a huge season ahead next year. Worse squad than maresca had. Have to get promoted otherwise we will be in championship for quite a few years I fear.

Seeing the Almighty in another teams shirt will be odd if he stays in the premier league.

Such a legend, of not only us but for football. There will never be another Jamie Vardy. The clubs personality that made us unique is going. We'll become a soulless club now. Just another championship team.

It really is an end of an era.

I think you'll find we're just another League One team sadly.

He won’t play in a top tier league.

He’s really struggled this season, despite the awful service.

It’s the right time for him to go, as Father Time has caught up with him.

This, as they say, has felt inevitable for some time.

I do wonder if conversations took place earlier in the season where it was discussed that Vardy would only be offered a new deal if we stayed up, it would explain why Vards was nearly in tears at the end of the Palace and Fulham games  when the reality of our impending relegation and the personal ramifications started to become reality.

For a player not born in the city or county nor come through the academy to stay here for 13 years, win the Premier League and FA Cup for the first time in the club's history, to reach the Champions League quarter finals and also play in the Europa League and Europa Conference League with us, is just remarkable.

The loyalty he's shown this club when he could have moved on multiple times is absolutely staggering.

If the club aren't going to do it, someone please put a statue in town, on Vicky Park or Abbey Park, please.

He’s going to move on, score double figures for a side who plays to his strengths and everyone’s going to back track saying he could’ve still done a job here for us next season.

Star this message.

I absolutely expect this to happen. At the same time we will fail to recruit a new striker of the required quality and we’ll end up regarding the decision to let Vardy go in the same way that we regard Schmeichel’s departure.

Sad times, very much the end of an era,.

Didn’t get linked with Man Utd a month or so ago? I think he’s got it all sorted or all but sorted, wherever it may be.

I think he’ll stay in England, either in the PL or Championship. And he’ll score goals. He’ll be desperate to prove that we were wrong to let him go and we all know what he’s capable of when he feels disrespected.

If those cnuts in charge don’t handle this then we can £££

Even the Facebook group mongies will be on board with chipping in for this (I think)

I agree. If it was fan funded , then it would mean so much more. I've spoken to someone already who has one made already.

It feels like the right thing for both him and the club at this point but it is still gutting and leaves me with a bit of an empty feeling. Feel lucky to have watched him terrorise defenders up and down the country!

Legend in the truest sense of the word.

It is a huge shame.

I know wages are a massive issue, and each year that ticks by he'll be less effective (time catches up with us all), but I still think if he was here next year in the championship and we play to his strengths he'd score a bucket load of goals for us and seriously help our quick return.

I think part of the reason he's looked less effective this season is because in spite of his age he's been a regular starter, and often left on the pitch. We needed to have someone decent enough to offer him proper competition (because even fit Daka didn't really do that), and ease his burden. Less minutes and I think he's more effective.

I fear he's going to be as impossible to replace as Kante and Mahrez, and we're going back to the yo yo club we were in the 90s and 2000s with no guarantee of any stay in the seasons we do go up, and no guarantee of promotion straight back when we go down.

It makes me feel sick thinking about how quickly we have declined, and the harsh reality we've got to face, that the dream we've all sharing for the last decade may finally be truely over.

The last man standing of the greats from our most successful era. Vardy, along with the likes of Schmeichel, Morgan and Albrighton, will forever be revered in our city.

The only player that would make me watch a single mls or Saudi game

Same, i'm hoping he might end up at Charlotte as their home games are often at a more 'reasonable' UK time!

Made me cry this video :( think the last time I felt this sad was when Muzzy Izzet left us :'( and I was a kid then. Will always be one of our own. Really hope he gets a goal and the fans always chants his name way after he's gone. Hopefully get to see him in a coaching role some day at this club. Will be so hard to see him play in anything but an lcfc top. Thank you Vardy

Definitely over used this season, mainly because of a lack of another option and that goes back to this summers crap transfer business!

The simple fact is, that we simply can’t afford his wages, no doubt this would have been discussed with the club. Tough times ahead, but we need to look to activitly look to reduce our wage bill and invest in younger and hungrier players for the good of our future as a club.

Pretty sure they have an open designated player spot as well

Go join Walsh and Fuchs!

You may be right, but reports suggest that it's less to do with money and more to do with the power and influence Vardy has in the dressing room, which Rudkin feels undermines both him and RVN.
