Yep - Probably more running in central midfield, but less of the very high intensity runs compared to fullback.

...and anyone who is over 30 knows that this is where the injury risk is!

Anyone who is over 40 knows injury risk is most profound when getting out of bed after a hard night's sleep.

Franculino Dju with another 2 goals for Midtjylland tonight. Probably the perfect profile for Marti but potentially too expensive for us

Hat-trick for Dju this evening in the Danish Superliga.

To press from the front and to link play with the wingers, seems to be the main two components that Marti wants.

From a statistical standpoint, I’d be going for Willem Geubbels at St Gallen.

Geubbels scored the winner for St Gallen in their season opener at the weekend.

Cannot see Dju staying in Denmark past the summer, wouldn’t be surprised if Brentford see him as a Mbuemo/Wissa replacement.

Annoyingly, this summer has seen plenty of good young centre forwards go for affordable prices.

Affordable, that is, for clubs with their shit in order.

Unfortunately Dju is likely to get picked up by a far better placed club than us now. I have been suggesting him for the last 2+ years. Was the ideal striker for us to have pursued under Enzo when in the Championship and likewise last summer under Cooper.

Had a fairly quiet season last year but he's started this season explosively and we've no chance, even though we have scored him in recent months.

We were linked heavily earlier in the year weren't we?

There were a number of reports we had been scouting him regularly.

Need him in for my "Dju you think im sexy" and "Dju Dju Dju , and Jeremy Monga" chants

What happened to that one striker from Chelsea that we were linked with last summer? Had a decent campaign with Burnley before that…

He’s a defensive daka

If a PL club are in for Guiu, going to very difficult for us to get him if we’re interested:

Depends what chelsea want really… off the bench in a bottom end prem potentially relegation battle team or main number 9 in a top end attacking championship team

obviously with blue tinted specs but surely he would develop more playing week in week out for us opposed to a struggling prem team but what do i know.

Well, not only that but we play roughly the same shape as an Enzo team and the striker roles in both systems are quite similar. So if he wants to groom him as a starting #9 in his primary system, we would be a logical choice.

Well they bought Liam Delap from ipswich and he was in a relegation battle

He's posted decent enough numbers and is the right age.  He was wank in the playoffs though!  But you can't buy proven talent at this level without spaffing your entire budget (do we have one) so you need to take gambles on players like him stepping up a level.  If we're not loaning a striker, then this is a good speculative option.

For £5m we should be all over this. Natural finisher who presses well and works hard. Young and room to improve with more than enough room to make a good profit.

It's a tough one. £5m or around that is a bargain for a striker, and he has decent numbers so I think he would benefit with playing with better players. However, would a loan option be better from a top 6 prem side for this season. Just need to get through this season without much PSR issues, then we can become a reset.

Next season is going to be more important to invest, would it be better to wait? But I wouldn't be against Kone

I suppose I'm terms of value if we get promoted despite him we can probably still recoup the money selling him or even loaning him out. If we got promoted with him proving himself then his value goes up and we have one less thing to think about next summer.

If we don't get promoted and he stinks the place out the hit isn't so bad and again there's still going to be opportunity to sell or loan equal to his book value anyway.

5m on a five year deal is probably a similar amount of money a decent loan from the Prem would cost, when you include wages.

People forget last season was Kone’s first full season in professional football. He’s got tremendous upside, although I have doubts if he can be the main number 9 for a promotion chasing side next season because of that inexperience. I’ll happily see us take that chance though.
