FrankieADZ Posted 4 August 2025 Author Posted 4 August 2025 £8.2mil, and profit too, as we signed him on a free 1
Stopharage Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 Earlier in the transfer window we were linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is at Besiktas. Let’s hope Rudkin doesn’t have a brain fart whilst trying to complete this deal by suggesting a swap 😬 2
Popular Post Haywood_6 Posted 4 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 4 August 2025 At his absolute peak he was probably one of the best ball winners in Europe under Puel and Rodgers. After the title when we were at our strongest 2019-2021 and he played a big part in that. Tough in the tackle and an absolute athlete. Unlike a lot of players in this current squad. He's earned his dough. 7
UniFox21 Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 4 year deal, probably decent money, European competition as well. Unless there's a very decent German club ready to sign him, he'd be silly to not go 1
kingpowerout Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 I believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the manager at Besiktas 1

Danno Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 Was unreal when he signed and up until 2021 ish. Football then moved on quite a bit, and now you can’t have a player at the base of the midfield who can’t pass very well or receive it on the turn etc as everyone just presses you and you end up losing it. See the importance of Caceido, Rodri nowadays

5waller5 Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 Yet another example of us holding on to a player for 2-3 years too long. We saw the best of him, and then saw him decline in form, fitness, and resale value. We’ve got to get better at player trading and selling just after peak 1

FoxesFourLife Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 (edited) Good move for him we still need a decent No6 though I don't think Soumaré although can be amazing is consistent enough and Winks and Skipp are to lightweight and slow of this role we could try Aluko in the role but will need time to bed in. Surprised Coady hasn't gone there with bold statements like that. Most comprehensive sports museum and internal club atmosphere in Turkey. 1

He wasn't sold when we got relegated and was very important to us, so it's a good thing he stayed. We then extended his contract when he could have walked away. Now we're selling him for £9m which otherwise would be £0. This literally is us getting better at trading and selling. 5

I was going back a little longer and selling him when the rumours were £50m 1

RowlattsFox Posted 4 August 2025 Posted 4 August 2025 I'll miss seeing him in a Leicester shirt, but it's 100% time to sell and a decent deal too. Some of his attempts on goal are hilarious. 1

I know he must leave and is injury prone but we are pretty much always better with him the side even if he is not the player he was. In my opinion, he will go down as one of our greats. Not many better than peak wilf. Agreed will need to be a good replacement he’s probably our best midfielder after Bilal
Popular Post -sodapop Posted 4 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 4 August 2025 Just read that if this goes through, we will have sold Ndidi - Maddison - Tielemans for the same amount we bought Winks - Skipp - Soumare for. I can't be the only person who has their day ruined by that. 3 5
