I'm probs in a minority of one here, but I don't see a problem with his attitude. In fact, I actually kinda like him.

He's judged far too harshly on two disastrous club decisions;, the Rodgers/Ward combo + 'Cooper Window'.

No team nor player could thrive in those circumstances.

Yh no yeah 100% your in the minority here, good luck trying to defend him,who knows you  might

actually do i better job defending him, then he does defending our goal. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bottom line with a defender is the number 1 thing you need is consistency. You don’t need to be the player that stands out on the pitch, you just need to do the simple things right, with someone heroics thrown in.

Faes is quality for 70% of a game, often more… but consistently makes honking mistakes.  We would just all rather have someone with less ability but more consistent.

I’m looking forward to a potential Nelson & Souttar pairing later in the season

Every time I see new posts in this thread I hope to see a real link to him leaving. The problem is everyone knows he is not good enough.

I was about to type exactly the same!!

You’d think it would be a reality check for him but no he’ll still swagger round thinking he’s the Belgian Maldini and far too good for us!

He isn't the worst defender ever to play for us, but the cost and wages I can see why people feel like he is.

On his day and if he stay concentrated, in this division he's up there with being the best defenders. But it doesn't happen often enough.

Wouldn’t explain why Belgium supporters were calling him the worst defender of all time against Wales in the last set of internationals

He is a fantastic player and a great leader on the pitch. (Just in case prospective purchasers are reading this) :D

I think it's fair to assume that anyone that would be interested in signing him probably can't read.

The notion that faes can’t defend, is one of our worst ever defenders etc is clearly a nonsense. His stats for actual defending are always very good.  In the top 5 for the core elements here again.

There are seriously far worse situations than him being here at the start of the season.  Coady, vesty, faes. That’s the order i want them out the door in personally

For those that don’t follow fpl, for the contribution points, you get 2 for every game that a player makes over 10 blocks, interceptions or tackles. so faes did that in 17 games which is tied for 5th best in the league.

Doesn’t mean he’s great just shows that he is doing the fundamentals of defending most of the time, which many on here state he can’t do

*obviously it’s more impressive if you’re doing that for a side who actually keep clean sheets and aren’t getting nailed every week but shows he did better than the rest of our backline

Or that he is was part of a rubbish team that spent more time defending - pity there are not stats about out of position, giving the ball and just generally jogging around or back when out of position - he would easily make the Top 10 in the prem last season - blokes a complete tosssr and be glad to see him go !

Damn statistics

My eyes tell me he's a bad defender

I know what to trust

He was poor, so we’re lots, the whole defensive unit was cack.

His wages would suggest he is best gone I imagine.

He screws up consistently, I’m not saying he’s someone we should keep. But he does have the ability to do it, just not the mentality.

If he ever managed to play with his head he’d be a good player but that’s my opinion and I accept that I’ll be in minority on that.
