We wont sell bilal now we've sold coady, mads and ndidi and not signed a striker. Thats £30m in, Vardy's wage of £6 or £7m off the wage bill, ward and iversen gone and players like Justin and Kristiansen likely to go.

Kristiansen won’t go anywhere whilst he is injured.

Sorry, what!? We're going from a top keeper to an ok one. And one who can play the way we want, to one that can't.

It's a huge downgrade and one that massively dents our promotion hopes.

Yet boosts our future as a club. Call this transfer what it was, unavoidable and unsurprising.

 We go again.

Good bit of business I think. Stolarcyk is as good, if not better than Mads so not a bit fussed about him going. Use this money, plus Ndidi and Coady sales/wages to bring in a couple of players and we will be fine!

as good shot stopper, but not with his feet. I think this can hopefully improve though!

But selling a player who is integral to our promotion chances, on the cheap, can't be wise.

Not as drastic, but gives me the same chills as letting Kasper go for Ward. And we all know how that went...

Got no choice if someone activates his release clause before 15th August.

bringing a new keeper in should be the bottom of our list!

1. Stolarczyk

2. Begovic

3. Bausor

More than enough for the Championship.

If we miss out on promotion and Stolaczyk has a good season there is a chance of making pure profit on him next summer.

Disagree. Begovic hasn't really need bought in to play he no. 3 and if Jacob gets injured long term we're a bit screwed. Bausor ideally now needs to go out on loan to play full time he's not ready to step up. We need a  No. 2 keeper from somewhere.

It’s not cheap, it puts him quite high on the expensive goalkeeper transfers, and he is not English either.

Would rather he stayed but also recognise the cost benefit of the sale.

Be a lot more comfortable if we had more recent acumen in the transfer market, but just hope for more like Mads!

Not even a comparison worth wasting words on!

Kasper were league and leagues ahead of Ward in every measurable category.

People are blinkered by Hermansen and his ball playing ability and convince themselves that this means Stolarcryk is crap at this side whereas clearly Maresca didn’t agree. And he has plenty of scope to develop if we actually take the novel route of not just writing players off from minute one.

Stolarcryk is better at collecting high balls and commanding his area than Hermansen.

Both are great shot stoppers and would be maybe the best two or there or thereabouts in this league by this measure.

We will still have one of the best keepers in the league.

Where is this structure and momentum you are seeing,  Selling a player under value, that weakens our XI?

That's an opinion, not very factual apart from weakening our XI potentially.

Begovic played 45 games last season. If needed he will be fine.

Bausor will learn more around the squad that going out on loan to probably national league or league 2

And 22m in reduced PSR, plus who goes out the door will depend on how much is allocated for strengthening

The stats may be similar (and lets be honest way to simplistic to get much info from) but anyone who actually watches can easily see how much more comfortable Mads is on the ball and the actual better quality of his passes

Lol we will be selling Bilal. And for about what we paid for him.

One keeper has also had a lot more minutes to gain experience, what’s to say that confidence won’t come in a team

pushing for promotion as opposed to get pummelled every week

Doesn’t surprise me. People convincing themselves there’s a massive gulf between them but there simply isn’t.

Honestly, it only took a few minutes of watching the Fiorentina game for me to have my heart in my mouth when Hermansen had the ball and it wasn’t even a competitive game!

Now imagine that exact scenario with someone who isn't as good with the ball at his feet?

Because that is how he will be asked to play

Don't see why so many people have an issue with us selling Mads. In a ideal world, we'd keep our best players every summer and sign new players to improve the squad, and we tried this under Brendan which is why we are where we are now financially. We have to sell players to try and sort the finances out and we have a very good keeper to replace him. We may still sell Bilal, but if we don't, I'd say that's a successful window where we've started to sort the finances and wage bill out whilst keeping hold of Bilal. We won't be able to sign anyone as good as Bilal in the championship and whilst Mads is very good keeper, Stolarczyk is also a very good keeper and deserves a chance to be our number 1.

The fee compared to Trafford is really quite tragic.

But getting actual money for Ndidi and Coady makes it feel a bit better.

Trafford had a buy back clause didn't he?

Also Stolarczyk has been intended to be the number one this season. He’s ready to take that step he isn’t wet under the ears.

Lots on here moan about needing to sell and use our youth players and then when it happens they moan.

Also gives up 8/9 easy chances a season tbqh. The one in the pre-season game was a prime example of it.

You don’t see ederson or Allison doing that

But you need to realise Jakub is very very likely going to be asked to play the same, and certainyl looks less able to do so?

A shame he is going for a relatively low fee. Was superb until his injury then never the same after he returned.
