It’s clear what will happen - points deduction from our total this season. Everyone is (relatively) happy

£2.8m per place in the PL isn't it?

So a points deduction this year would be a pretty decent 'fine' if it meant we finished 19th.

It will be for next season, it will take them a few months to figure out if they can do anything. I would expect starting the season on - 3 or -6 points.

It would just be nice if it actually led to some kind of shake up in how the clubs operated, but I won't hold my breath.

Are we definitely in breach my understanding is only an allegation so far?

Yes. In the same way the PL and EFL made allegations against us before which were then proven wrong.

Will have to put the ladies team out in the championship next season once we sell everyone in the men’s squads to make up for it

Only after giving them all new contracts to match the men's salaries.

I don’t think so. They’ve got until our shares as a premier league club are transferred over which isn’t a relatively long time and we all know these hearings don’t get sorted quickly.

The governing bodies want to hit us and hurt us. The only way they can do that is with a points deduction starting next season.

*so called biz

"So-called Premier League charging us with so-called alleged breaches of so-called Proft and Sustainability Rules for a season when we were in the so-called EFL Championship"

The law was changed after the event has happened ( Championship accounts )

Not sure how PL can charge us

Was going to say this.

It would be relatively easy to argue that we didn't sign up to the rules at the time, and so they can't be applied retrospectively, and the that the rules should be applied going forward.

Given that our PSR issues have been dragging on for several years, if all we end up receiving is a single 3-6 point deduction in a Championship season, then I think most of us would take that.

Well we've had claims of 3, 6 & 9 so far so to screw over the many on here who will be loving this I'll claim 52 points, a transfer embargo and we have to play all games with laces tied together.

Can't believe that because some aren't happy with board they're hoping the team get hit with a massive points deduction.

If yo're that unhappy with team go and watch non-league instead.

Non league will not be a choice in a few years if this ownership is still in place, it will be reality.

That's generous. I'd rather have them than Rudkin...

I swear it was reported by people including Percy saying the KDH sale meant we’d survived a PSR breach? So what has changed?

The Premier League Dale has jurisdiction over that season and they are corrupt bunch of *****.

Feels like we’ve got two roads ahead as a club:

1) admit we messed up, take the punishment, make the necessary changes in the club to prevent it happening again.

2) fight it, try and get away with it and maintain BAU operations

I hope for 1) but expect 2) 😢

How can the premier league bring charges against us for an EFL competition.

Surely it's the EFLs job to bring the charges.

Its just vindictive and ridiculous they can write new laws to punish historic financials because their rules were broken at the time.

They give Man U a £40 million COVID allowance and allow Chelsea to sell its Women's team to itself to comply.

They're just corrupt and not fit to govern.
