I don't think it's fair to cast doubt on the suggestion Wilf has illness issues preventing him being selected.

 

Whatever his shortcomings, he's been a good servant to the club.

 

If he's got the shits or the sniffles, that will make running after Premier League players, which is difficult enough, a tough ask.
