Sad isn't it, anytime a non big 6 side wins a trophy they're stripped of their assets within 2 years.

Win the FA Cup this century and down you go.Portsmouth, Wigan,Leicester and now possibly Palace have all hit the skids soon after winning silverware.Same as the League Cup.Birmingham,Swansea and Leicester.Again

I hear Neville was at his superfan worst today. I don't blame him, it's a derby. But get some balance in that box. This isn't MUTV. Why aren't all clubs represented by a former hero?

Sky really are the pits these days. You get some measure of professionalism when Chappers or Kelly Cates are hosting but the indulgence of Neville and Carragher, the predictable rants of Roy Keane are tiresome now.

I am loathed to praise Keys and Gray but they knew how to do this properly, especially in the early days. This is crap.

You can hear him cheering and going mad before Fernandes taps it in. I'm not fully against it as football and the emotional response it does give us, but it's an incredibly fine line between the good analysis he does occasionally offer and Rio screaming ballon d'or.

Sky have dropped from actual analysis to just club fan TV most of the time.

Endless cutting to celebrities in the crowd as well. No one cares.

I agree, it is an emotional game but this is the official, impartial coverage of the match in this country, not local radio or a watchalong. You should not have one person actively cheering on a team.

Can't see Frank being in the Tottenham job beyond Monday. Interesting comments by Glasner also today after Palace's loss to Sunderland. Glasner isnt supposed to be leaving till May but with those comments post match makes you think it could be alot sooner. Would he go Tottenham if they approached him tomorrow.

You dont say what Glasner said unless you want the sack or are prepared to walk away. If Spurs sack Frank, he's getting that job if he wants it.

Farke is making monkeys out of a lot of yobs who couldn't understand how Norwich hung him out to dry. 1 loss in 9 and they were ahead at full-time in that.

How they use Carragher is rubbish apart from MNF.. He's a really great pundit when he's used correctly, probably the best of their Premier League coverage but 9 times out of 10 they just stick him on co-comms for Liverpool games!

Glasner probably going to be sacked today the board are deciding currently.

But I said yesterday my take on what/why he said what he said and Glasner confirmed in his proper post match interview

He explained: "For me, it feels like, 'oh we have enough points so we won't get relegated and that's fine'. But these players are not happy and satisfied with this. That makes it tough tonight.

"If Crystal Palace are fine ending the season like this, with Oliver Glasner, with another manager, I don't know, I don't care but if they are fine with this then okay, they can do it.

"If they want to play a more successful season... for me, it feels like, 'when all the players are back, we'll be okay, we'll get 42 points, it's all good'

This is why I get annoyed with all the Leicester are poorly run comments when in fact the owner, board, manager and playing staff all said right let’s give it a go, that’s taking a risk not bad management, you bet Palace playing staff and fans would have liked to have give it a proper go like we did.

Yes within that “risk” there was some bad decision making of course, but a lot brought up in hindsight, and the risk was 10yrs in the making not the past 3yrs, the previous 7yrs contributed to those 3yrs as a byproduct of giving it a go.

Most clubs could make a living finishing 17th every season until your squad is so watered down with inexperienced or retiring players because any decent or ambitious player has been sold or got out but 🤷‍♂️

I don't know who was on Talksport a couple of hours ago as I don't listen to it too much but it was the same old guff spouted in the media generally re: Palace fans/Glasner. Why are they so angry at the owners - the owners and Glasner got them to the FA Cup and to Europe, they should be grateful...

God forbid fans want to extend that success by showing ambition and continuing to expect more from the club. Always the fans that should be shot down.

Agreed. I only want to see them cut to the crowd if adult entertainment is happening. You know, for the giggles and all.

Get your pennies on a Harvey Barnes goal today. He always does well against us.

Playing on the right, don't think he is that much of a threat on that side

I don't know how often Newcastle have persisted with this but just to satisfy Gordon, they've nullified one of their most dangerous players on current form.

Disappointing.

It's an interesting issue -- a couple of years ago I looked at about 30 years of league winners to see how concentrated winning the championship is in the Premier League vs other American sports leagues. Here is the number of different teams that have won their leagues from early 90s to 2023:

Premier League - 7 different teams

NBA - 12

MLB - 16

NFL - 14

Called your title win "fluky".

It was in terms of the unexpected nature of it.

Fully deserved on the pitch.

Which side is gonna shit house a victory?

Don Goodman saying 'Newcastle need a Haaland on the end of a cross, someone of that ilk' as if they're just floating around at several clubs and he's not a once in a generation player lol
