People just get completely caught in their context and moment. It’s why we should probably teach more emotion regulation stuff in schools.

I gave up playing local cricket as week after week my team and opponents were verbally abusing each other, threatening violence and generally just being arses. Nobody needs it, it’s supposed to be the release away from the grind.

Was that in Leicestershire ?

This is exactly why I love playing sunday league football. Bandit country.

Anstey making better signings than Leicester City lol

I won't be surprised if Anstey attendance improves, many might be sick of the doss at Leicester and head there. Be good for them to get a 1,000 plus gate sometime soon and maybe average around 700-800.

Not sure but there's a special needs school based at the ground so probably get a good wack in rent .

Staying the night in Cambridge and was supposed to be going Histon tomorrow to see Boro away, sadly I think the chances of that being on tomorrow is slim. Pitch inspection at 9am with already some water lying on the pitch. Shame may have been a decent crowd with being top v second, around 200 Boro fans expected as well. Planning on going Cambridge Utd if its called off they have got Bristol Rovers.

Please to see York doing so well, would love to see them come up this season.  The only downside is their new rather dull stadium.  Averaging around 6.500 which is much more than they did when they were last a league club.

Boro v Histon managed to go ahead after, pitch looked in good condition considering all the rain we have had. Boro coasted to a 3-1 win over Histon to extend our huge gap at the bottom. 337 attendance and about 100 or more from Nuneaton. Histon got a decent setup, of course lot when they had decent period in the 2000's when they were pushing for promotion to get into the football league, in fact I think they finished as runners up one season. Not bad for a village with population of around maybe 6,000.

Quorn 1 - 0 Bishops Stortford

It was suggested at the start of the season, that 50 points would be enough to guarantee another season at Step 3. It was also suggested that this would be a tough ask for such a small club. Lots of online pundits experienced at Step 3 agreed that avoiding relegation would be a tough ask.

An 88th minute goal from Top Scorer Zak Goodson was enough to secure Quorn the win and reach 50 points in the middle of February. A stunning achievement.

Ref giving this as a penalty yesterday 😂 😂 😂

Think the lino called it has notice the goalkeeper running over to have a go at the lino. First ever foul to be committed by a ghost!

St Ives 1 - 4 Quorn

Been a week of change on and off the field. A great response to the midfield defeat against Halesowen and a return to Quorn for Jack Duffy & Asst Gaffer Big Tom Chez.

I didn’t go as I went to the King Power. But to anyone who’s lost the love for the game or has their mental health affected by it, I urge you to visit your local non league team at whatever step you wish to follow. It gives you a complete reset and a reminder of what makes the game great. Helped served a purpose yesterday. Loved the day for what it was, meeting friends for a drink, watching the tactical layout, my lad meeting his mates too.

Quorn back in the Play Off zone. Unreal

Will be giving up my season ticket to go non league next year, even if my chosen Barwell get relegated. I love going.

Good for them......any input of money and profile is good for the teams further down the pyramid.

Quorn 4-1 down at Bury. Zak Goodman hat-trick in twenty minutes gets them a pint.

Incredible scenes.

Will be nigh on impossible to retain him next season imagine some big offers will be coming his way

I finally gave mine up after 27+ years and have not looked back one bit.

Enjoying my time since 2020 supporting Brackley Town and even though we may well be heading back down to the NL North (my favourite league) it's been a fantastic season.

I watched 10 minutes of Bournemouth v Sunderland last week in the clubhouse before the home game at Brackley and those few minutes of PL football looked horrible compared to what we see in non-league.  The play acting from grown men was enough to remind me that I'm very much done with big club football apart from the odd visit if I feel like I need to sample a big crowd atmosphere again.

Barwell looks a great place to visit for games, same with Quorn too.  My dad played for Anstey years ago so I should one day visit them for a game.

I'm from Shepshed originally and rarely went to the games there which I now feel like I should have gone to more.
