That's a shame. Silver remains one of the best political pundits out there and his work should have been preserved.

They're not erased though are they, they're offline. They still exist. He could perhaps acquire them via a third party?

I think he's tried, but ABC aren't having any.

Either way, they're functionally inaccessible.

I'm not a fan of Starmer and the Mandelson issue was not good but the impatient want to chop and change PM less than 2 years since winning a landslide is ridiculous. Labour should focus on getting their message across and pushing through. Back in 1981 Thatcher was extremely unpopular 2 years after winning power. Somehow she gained popularity after the Falklands. Imagine if the Tories had turfed her out in 81.

I’ve long been of the opinion that if a sitting government decides to change its leader

then it should be made to call a general election within a year.

I understand your view but the last thing we need now is another general election

Then don’t change the leader your party was elected with.

We don't actually vote for a PM with our system

I never said we did. The public voted for a Labour Party lead by Starmer who is to the right

of the party not for a party lead by Burnham or Rayner.

Not technically but I know what you mean. The PM is first of the ministers but not a president.

I’m inclined to agree, particularly if there’s a shift left or rightwards of the manifesto they were elected on.

I thought we were an autonomous collective?

Is it just in London?

Nope. I marched to the Globe earlier.

I was a bit late meeting my brother otherwise it would have been a gentle stroll. Done my bit though.

I see the Raise The Flag bloke wanted for in connection with running someone over in Stirchley, Brum, has been arrested at the Unite The Kingdom' march, surely the last place anyone would have thought to look for him, what are the chances?

Given those tramps probably have teles that big in their living room, I’m surprised it took them so long to turn it off.

If they get rid of Starmer and shift notably left then that could make them almost unelectable moving forwards.  Vote x, get y.

any new leader would probably have to retain the more centre left outlook to keep party integrity at subsequent elections. We know that uk elections are decided by the centre ground and they’re sensitive to suggestions of that nature.

I’m quite sure that a lot of those voting labour in 2024 were ‘anything but Tory’ after 14 years and Starmer offered them what appeared to be a safe pair of hands re any leftist agenda within the party.

It could, but at this point they need some substance or they are unelectable anyway.  Starmer appears to believe in nothing, be in control of nothing and has thrown half a dozen people under the bus to demonstrate this.

ABC indeed got us here, he never would have in if the Tories hadn't shot themselves in the foot, fallen on top of the gun, shot themselves in the arse and then tried to rescue themselves almost literally shooting themselves in the head in appointing Liz "thick as mince" Truss.

Liz was the nail In the coffin.

I’ll always come back to Rishi wasn’t that bad, or at least as bad as the rest of the party in terms of stupidity. Truss and Johnson were a bloody nightmare.

The eat out to help out scheme was ill thought, however people still had a choice on if they take up the offer of that or not.

People were hypocrites though, I know so many people that have since admitted to meeting up during Covid that had blasted them all for partygate.
