Depends when people are asked, how many chairmen are going to get a lot of support on the back of relegation let alone 2 out of last 3 seasons. Yet if the question is asked in May next year on the back of promotion with an exciting younger crop of players it would be a far different outcome.

Obviously none of us actually know him but he seems arrogant and the fact he puts friendships above the club and fails the see the disaster he’s caused and the board have caused means not remembered well. Cannot wait till he sells up, though I can’t see it happening for a long time yet.

For anyone who knows history he’s basically King John who cocked things up after his father Henry II had a long and successful reign.

Such a shame because Vichai left the club in such a strong position. I know we won the cup under Vichai, but ever since it’s almost like he’s not been too bothered.

Does this make Susan Eleanor of Aquitaine? And Rudkin John de Gray?

What I want to know is .... who's going to see us as an attractive enough proposition to make the initial financial outlay required to buy King Power out? Then if that's achieved  there's the commitment, infrastructure changes that work and further investment required to get us back up and stay in the Premier league ?

It's easy to spout vitriol and simple solutions on a football forum.....then there's the reality,   I truly think swathes of our fanbase live on fantasy island.

Although our best year was 2016, our best team and squad was definitely the one who finished 5th twice and won the FA cup.

A team with Huth, Mahrez and Kante is quite considerably better than one without

Our best seasons came after Vichai's death. Finishing top 6 twice, winning the Community Shield and FA Cup. It's staggering we did that. All after he died.

Also remember we all want Rudkin out yet it was Vichai who put him in that role.

There's a lot to argue on both sides for me. Vichai wasn't amazing. In the end he was lucky that Pearson actually wanted to come back.

Good backroom staff works is normally on delay by a year or so.

that’s why if Rudkin stood down tomorrow, it’s until January transfwr window before it has real effect.

It’s worth noting that when you think of 15/16

Good business men see a club probably under its value which can be maximised relatively easily by football standards

He is just not cut out for the job, if he was we would be seeing so much more from the club in terms of results, direction, strategy, signings, managers and communications.

My overriding memory will be of someone picking up one of the coconut waters and saying 'what the f4ck is that?'

The day he leaves i might buy a Chang in his honour. I've never bought one before but still drunk too many of them.

The more time that goes by the worse my feelings towards Top get, which is a real shame.

That being said I’ve never quite been as in love with King Power as a lot of the fan base were at the height of our success. Yes, King Power (and in particular Vichai) were decent owners, but they had their slice of good fortune too. It’s also worth remembering they didn’t buy us as a philanthropic act - a large part of it will have been for completely understandable but ultimately selfish reasons (brand awareness for KP, prestige and status etc). In many ways it was a relatively cheap marketing initiative, particularly in their early years of ownership. But that’s not to say they haven’t done good things along the way too (particularly with the children’s hospital for example).

Where Vichai stood out and to his credit got things spot on was he was able to connect with the fanbase. There was a genuine warmth about him and he seemed to have an ability to understand the everyday hardworking fan. How many times for example did we see him out amongst crowds etc talking to fans and shaking hands…I’d argue at most home games he was at you’d see some element of it. Compare that with Top, who for the Liverpool game this season whizzed in with about 4 security vehicles, got out to lay some flowers at his dads statue but was at all times surrounded by his heavies, then got straight back in his SUV and into the comfort of the board room no doubt. Perhaps I’m being unfair with this example, but Top just feels a more distant owner to me. It also annoys me that he’s soon out to celebrate on the pitch with the players etc when things are going well (FA Cup, Community Shield, Preston etc), yet we never hear or see from him at the smallest sign of trouble. To me that’s not leadership, or certainly not the type of leadership I want.

Agree - however in my opinion his biggest weakness has been not to attend to the obvious management staff shortcomings. Relegated twice in 3 seasons and no changes to top management. No apparent change in strategy and we just seem to be ambling along hoping for the best. Whelan has been overlooking distastrous financial results and Rudkin a laughable handling of the transfers both in (not) selling and buying and handing out ridiculous contracts. In any other business these two would have been fired a long time ago. Its just mind boggling:@

I don't think he was ready to take over the club so soon, You can't blame that on him though after what happened to his father after all he had the final call on everything not Top.

He should be doing more though like all of them.

In time the delusion and emotion would fade and people would be forced to look at things as they are. Fans are sentimental whilst people are here and less so after they leave. People defended Kermorgant, Puel, Sousa, Megson and probably even Akinbiyi and Tater Peeler once.

Once you’re in the past and have been painted the villain it’s almost Impossible to reverse it. And there’s just no way Top’s reputation can withstand what’s happened in the long run. But whilst he’s here, he’ll have his loyal followers.

When we were close to relegation in 2014/15 you never had Vichai carrying on like Top has done the past 3 seasons.

Always professional and perhaps rightly frustrated at how it was going.

Vichai wasn't perfect but if he made a mistake you could be sure he did his utmost to rectify it.

Top unfortunately for him will fall short of Vichais standards.
