You forgetting the 2 relegations?? Won the prem under vichai and were an established pl side

No?? But success is consistent and after Vichai died we were more consistent. We won the FA Cup, Community Shield, finished top 6 twice. Vichai saw one successful season then the rest just being "established".

Totally understand the circumstances around his taking control were far from ideal and as much as I feel for him given all that, and I really do, his level of incompetence is just beyond what’s reasonable, he needs to either sell up or put someone in charge who knows how to run a football club. The sentiment went a while ago for me, we’re being so badly mismanaged it’s laughable.

So Top was responsible for the continued success after Vichai and responsible for the total reverse over the last few years:blink:

Top could sell up tomorrow but he's given any new owner a mountain to climb

My opinion on Top....i'll take a leaf out of the little guys book and say nothing;)

Sadly, Top hasn't got a clue. He needs experienced heads around him, hence why KP have appointed a new CEO. We need the same, a new DoF or sporting director.

we bottled top 4 twice, got relegated twice. winning the fa cup is the major highlight there. getting relegated with one of the worst pl sides is embarrassing, and even the first relegation looks bad considering we finished 8th the season before.

The majority of the work had been done before Vichai passed away. We were set up to improve as we did.

I agree with all you said.

Also whist winning the FA Cup is an awesome event, ( and I love the fact we did)  I don't care what people say we were very lucky on the day to do so.  It took a isolated worldy against the run of play from Tielemans and a bit of VAR fortune in our favour for a change to gain the win. Let's all be honest, we were getting battered for most of the match. So our FA Cup win was a welcome bit of joy.

Got me that one lol

But only because I know he's a faithful partner and he'd never cheat on me like that.

I've rewatched that match a few times and we were absolutely not getting battered. Very tight game in which we were the better side for large parts. Came under big pressure after the goal but think it was an even game overall.

Doesn't take away the fact it had nothing to do with Top though.

I’ll remember him as the person that has screwed up a monopoly.

We have become a bit of a joke.

I think we will have to evoke the phrase  "agree to disagree"  on this one my friend.

But Top at the time was, and still is a clueless B*ll End.

Agree. Not battered. Chelsea had a lot of the ball but didn't do much with it. Youri's goal was why teams dream of a bit of magic from their flair players. Kasper stepped up once Chelsea applied pressure and offside goal correctly ruled out.

For anyone who knows history he’s basically King John who cocked things up after his father Henry II had a long and successful reign.

Such a shame because Vichai left the club in such a strong position. I know we won the cup under Vichai, but ever since it’s almost like he’s not been too bothered.

History is littered with examples of capable fathers spawning kids who get spoiled by daddy's largesse and learn very little of worth from their dad's experiences. Top and Rodgers inherited a fantastic squad (kudos to Claude Puel) and Vichai's set-up. That saw a team strong enough to win the Cup but it's been downhill ever since. It takes a lot of clarity and honesty to admit you're not up to the job. Neither Top nor Rudkin are that perceptive, honest or care enough about the club.

There has to be a 100% gratitude has to shortsighted for all those that dont. Its easy to sit and say this or type that but when its your on the arse on the line with every decision made i sure its not fu--ing easy. He has tried to fill some very big shoes and hasn't surrounded himself with the right people for guidance. But ultimately he hasn't filled them shoes. So maybe it's time to sell but fans are fickle.  Becareful what you wish for.
