Cracking young player, he’s just trying too hard. A good coach would spend as much 1 to 1 time as necessary to convince him that he doesn’t always need to take players on , or after cutting inside try to score a screamer .

If he hadn't have scored a couple of screamers this season, people would be holding him as accountable as the usual suspects. His response to the fans at the end sums up the larger issues at our club, embarrassing response.

What did he do at the end? I didn't see.

He's 100% being sold. Why on earth would he want to stick around at this shit show of a club!

Only if the fans are stupid would they hold him just as accountable as the others

We are lucky he has played as much as he has so far after his ACL, the others have no actual excuse for being shite

He’s been frustrating but he is genuinely our only player that can make something happen. He’s now starting to force it which isn’t helping him at all.

I guess 2 takeaways from the boo’ing

1. Fans have to understand that if they boo it’s felt by every player & can derail those that perhaps the anger isn’t aimed at.

2. Fatawu has to accept he’s part of a team that should be doing better, he needs take it on the chin & ensure the squad all feel it and work harder.

Fatawu is quickly turning into a one trick pony , cut inside and shoot like the rest of out play its just so predictable

And

So easy to defend against too

The same used to be said about Mahrez…

He proved he was good enough to get away with it...  Fatawu, so far, not so much.  But time will tell, I guess?

Much as I like fatawu and rate his potential , he won't get near mahrez as a player

Personally I don’t think he will make it as a premier league player. He’s way too reliant on his left foot, his crosses are generally pretty poor and his all round play is not good enough.

I just simply do not get the hype around him - he scores a worldie every now and then but in the championship you need more than this.

Wish we managed to sign Murphy now from Portsmouth.

Let’s not forget Fatawu is only 21, Mahrez was playing in the French league 2 and nobody knew his name at that age, even we discovered him by accident, just so it’s clear I’m not saying he’s going to be as good as Mahrez was but he still needs time to develop, Fatawu has only played 60 odd games at a decent level in his career

You think Murphy is a better player? lol

It's funny that some of his perceived weaknesses were actually some of the best aspects of his game last time we were in this league. The fact that he could beat people on the outside and deliver a good cross with his right foot, on top of his generally excellent crossing ability are what elevated his potential.

Currently he's just completely starved of options when he gets the ball. Opposition players double/even treble up on him yet none of his teammates make runs into that vacant space in other areas of the pitch. The amount of times you could see he had 1 option in the box was so depressing.

His form has massively dipped but if we didn't have him, we'd be in the relegation places.

Rubbish again.

Can't really remember the last time he's had a great game.

Even the great goals have plastered over pretty mediocre performances.

Trying too hard but our wingers are massively suffering due to our complete lack of full back support for them on both sides

The couple of times Abdul looked good tonight was when JJ made the run outside of him

It’s like trying to play the way Enzo did but with a supply teacher

Far too reliant on him for most of the season and now it's starting to show.

He's forcing it or trying too hard. And he's been worked out by opposition.
