 If Marti actually drilled into Ayew that he needs to be hanging around the goal area, not playing left wing and then not passing the ball as well as encouraging support and direct threats.  The things that he allows Ayew to get away every game with are things that no team needs at the start, then if we need his cheating it's too late and he can't be bothered.

 

Ayew should be goal hanging, Reid floating around and JJ, Ricardo and Fatawu arriving late.  We've scored a few goals like that and had some passages of play that should be bread and butter, usually  when chasing and the game is over.  The next week it resets back to Marti's non threatening attacks.

And the cause of so many counter attacks.

He holds the ball, great, does his 3 or 4 pirouettes, not so great, but then JJ and whoever playing the 10 break-forward expecting him to play a ball they can run onto but instead he turns inwards and then either plays it back or is robbed of the ball which then means Skipp is the sole defence of the entire midfield as JJ & 10 have overshot Ayew totally playing them out the game.
Most of time you’d have JJ, 10, Mavi, Fats and Thomas all ahead or in line with Ayew expecting a forward ball in that scenario meaning a quick counter we end up at least 5 v 4 then quickly 5 v 3

So in summary I never want him to start again & if that means it’s Antonio then so be it.

Same as mine.  He will walk like he's got 4 wooden legs, with a face like he's been licking piss until we get near a place he remembers he can get a biscuit.  Exactly like Ayew when he dives and the ref doesn't give him the foul, then the ball goes by him he pricks his ears and the hobble disappears.

Not his best game but what a finish.

He’s 1 goal off matching his tally from 23/24 and got 7 assists (he got 13 in 23/24) so numbers wise he’s having a fine season. 
 

Whilst Abdul has to take some of the blame for how he’s playing I do have sympathy for all our wingers playing in this side. 
 

We struggle massively to get the ball to Monga/Fatawu/Mavididi in good positions and back them up with support.

He plays like he has no confidence in the team around him and feels he has to do it on his own. Can't blame him for that really, I feel the same way. I reckon he'll be pushing for a move away if the opportunity arises.

I don't care about his goal tonight. He should be dropped (and probably for a while) after witnessing how he defended for the first goal tonight. It's unacceptable

 

Even King called him out for it indirectly during his post match Interview. He was sooo passive and didn't even attempt to try to stop the cross, didn't even raise his foot! Pathetic.

 

It's instances like this during games which is why we will get relegated. Players showing no effort to defend making us so so easy to score against

I've literally said this for months...the bloke scores a goal and then switches off cause he believes his job is done. Posts "it'll get better" on socials...scores a worldie next game...rinse repeat.
