I think it's a tad unappealing that he looked to have his head turned by WBA (not exactly a giant step up either) to the extent QPR decided to can him. Look at Fofana, us rejoicing when he sulked his way out of St Etienne and now hated because he did the same to us? Hope this has a happier ending

Great news.

Each of the Academy players who are able to step up is like a new signing to us. This includes Alves who is now ready. These guys can progress / shine and make a huge impact for us with the right blend of experience.

Ship off whats needed (Faes, Vesty, Mads, Daka, Ndidi, Bouba, Coady to name a few). Try the darndest to keep BEK.  I'm even slightly warming to keeping Ayew if his wages are ok as can play a few positions, especially if we cant get a striker.

Looking forward to seeing Mavididi and Fatawu playing on the wings again.

This could actually be ok.

If he does well enough that a bigger side is trying to poach him, we're likely back in the Prem

I see what you're saying and I agree.

Yet, part of me would be happy for Cifuentes to come in and do a "Maresca" – get us promoted and go to a "big six" team. Mainly because having Prem status would help Top sell the club and we could then properly turn the corner – get rid of Rudkin etc.

I wouldn't really have been too put out by Fofana wanting to join Chelsea.

Not at that price anyway. Its on us that we messed up what happened after.

Fofana did well for us lol I sorta get your point but doubt the general reaction will be "good luck you earned this opportunity" it he suddenly decides to down tools.

You never have anything positive to say are you Coopers son or something ?

Who do you want Gary O'Neil ?

What’s positive about asking AI similarities between two managers when it can find them about anyone. Sorry to spoil your little wankfest

Losing Maresca derailed us and Marti in the same situation would too, especially with how the club is currently run. If he absolutely kills it here this season to the point where a bigger side has no choice to poach him then it'd be daft to complain, but I'd rather he only does a good enough job that doesn't warrant him leaving next summer lol

Simon Jordan- "Don't like players. Don't like managers. Don't like fans. Owners are great". Rinse and repeat.

Was a good pundit but now totally overexposed. That cretin Jim White doesn't help.

You have to give anyone a chance who comes in but this is baffling. There’s loads out there with way more experience at every level who are out of work and we pick this one 🤯🤯

Picking a young manager who plays a style that suits our current squad, who promotes youth and who appears willing to work with a limited budget...baffling.

We haven't even signed him yet and Simon Jordan hates him.

Picking someone who done absolutely nothing is baffling he’s managed less than a 100 games
