The players signed last summer do deserve another shot; they walked into a Cooper system which had no real basis apart from chaos and then a RvN system which we're all still trying to figure out. Cifuentes appears to have a style and format, so let's see how they fair under a structured approach

It would be pretty funny if he started that back 4 in our first game of the season.

To be honest he could put himself in that back four and I would still expect us to beat Sheffield Wednesday by 3 goals.

Nelson?

Enzo asked Dufkin to leave him out.

I back cifuentes 100% ... the players will be given 2nd 3rd 4th 5th chances

So have no fear 👌 that's why they stroll around without a care in the world that's the culture its breeds

I think we can all agree. We’ll need to use this season to

A) Get out of this league

B) Start a squad refresh if we get promoted.

Coady, Vestergaard, Skipp, Winks, Mavididi, Hermansen, El Khannous, Ricardo etc, should all be too good for this league. Some of those will need upgrading if we then want to stay up.

Completely agree.. and with his apparent wages we are stuck with Coady.. I just cannot like the guy at all

Okoli deserves more of a chance this season

It’s an odd one.

As Coady, Faes, Vestergaard, Nelson, Okoli is potentially the best set of five centre backs in the division.

You’d potentially state most of them would start for most other teams.

In fact, you could state that for most of this squad. We were relegated from the Premier League in 17th place, have only lost Vardy really, so short of having a striker, we should have the best team in the league.

I do think we maybe need to acknowledge that as a collective on Foxestalk at times. We all tend to get a tad emotional when things go south. I included myself in that, as I called for Cooper to be sacked in pre season last year as that was a cluster.

I do think we’ll get promoted even with a points deduction. What I’m concerned about, is our ability to put a squad together for the following season, if we get promoted.

The likes of Coady, Vestergaard, Reid, Ayew etc, will need to move on.

Clean slate for all players with the new manager. Sick of the toxicity on here.

The toxicity is valid, we have seen the club's on pitch performance collapse over the last few years.

This 'clean sheet' rubbish however is not valid and will massively hold the back in the long term. We need to shift the bad ones, not try to keep making them work in vain.

Oh, he’s not likeable from an outsider looking in. I don’t find many of this squad relatable, however that’s modern football to a tee.

Some short memories in here. This pre season should be used to get rid of the idiots who let us down last season. Faes, Vestergaard, Winks,Soumare and Coady should of all been excluded from this pre season. We need a new start.

Indeed - if fans want to see a manager play youth players, the stands need to contain a much more forgiving atmosphere.

Unfortunately, no one is buying Soumare at £90k per week.

Winks is fine.

Just leave him at home then. Soumare offers us nothing.
