Phil Gee’s brace v Derby in the 3-2 win 1992, overshadowing Kitson and the other Direby superstars.

Came across this match on YouTube the other day.Gee was indeed sensational that night in what was a rip roaring game.I have a feeling I may have missed it for some reason and being gutted.

Harsh on him? He was solid for us in the Championship and his pens, crosses and screamers weren’t one-offs

Not really he's an average player didn't excel in any other stats like tackling, heading or pace.

Yes his delivery was pretty good most games and supplied some unreal worldie goals.

I'd say perfect description as per the thread title.

What are your moments of utter brilliance from an otherwise completely forgettable player? I'll start:

Ahmed Musa v Barcelona. Dribbles from the halfway line and scores. *it was a friendly

Jeff Bruma v Watford. Scored two 30 yarders in one game. Not done anything before or since.

Danny Ward (Yes, I'm going there) v Walsall. Saved all his penalties in the shootout. Fair play.

Jeff Bruma ….

25 caps for the Netherlands

2 x Eredivisie

Coatsworth's thunderbastard against Luton.

Thomas terrorising Mo Salah.

Daka scoring four in Moscow.

Nalis's goal against Leeds.

Ben Marshall's run of like 4 worldies in 6 games. He completely fell off as a player.

Only 34 now but is playing in something like Step 4 of non-league.

I saw this live and thought we'd unearthed a gem. Debut Vs West Ham in a cup match if I remember correctly

Bury.

He scored against West Ham in the same competition.

Kelechi’s purple patch a couple years back in general was ridiculous

Better than average tbh. Fell off in the end but whenever he did play he was good

Get a feeling it was (put on deep husky film trailer voice) “Personal”.

He was certainly “Gee’d up” that night!
