Wednesday fans loved him until a few seasons ago. He's just a big baby that's lost interest but too proud to sell (doesn't want the embarrassment in Thailand).

Care a lot about what their natives think don’t they the Thais

I don’t know whether we will end up like Sheffield Wednesday, but the fact something like this can happen to a club as big as them means it could happen to anyone.

That’s what we should be taking from this. Transitioning to fan-owned clubs is absolutely necessary in the long run, no other industry is protected by the government from billionaires and this one will be no different. The sport is rapidly heading towards complete ruin, and with the recent stats about how many Leicester fans feel completely disconnected from the club, I’d say we’re halfway there.

Loads of fans have ranged from skeptical to hatred of him for a lot longer than that maybe 6-7+ years. Its not something thats just happened overnight.

I'm not sure it would be a forfeit,  I think they would just move the game further down the road

If they can't field a team its a forefit.

Yes, in the EFL Championship, a team must forfeit a match if they cannot field at least seven players. This is a standard rule in football, ensuring a minimum number of players are available to compete. If a team falls below this minimum during a match, the game must be abandoned, and the team will forfeit.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

  • Minimum Players:
The Laws of the Game state that a match cannot start or continue if either team has fewer than seven players.
  • Forfeiture:
If a team cannot fulfill this requirement due to injuries, suspensions, or any other reason, the match is forfeited.
  • Consequences:
Forfeiting a match can have significant consequences, including a loss for the forfeiting team and potential disciplinary actions by the competition organizers.

what i thought tbh, if the wednesday players refuse to play its a forfeit

just by the middle bullet point, as the reason would be theyve not been paid for a good number of months

If I was a Wednesday player who's not been paid I'd turn up to play and just sit on my arse for the entirety of the game.....much like Soumare.

Rumours now that the Sheff Wednesday players would have to pay for their own hotel rooms if they wanted to stay the night before the game.

A bit surreal the situation they are in.

Just so you can get an idea of the guy. Its come to light this week that instead of using money to repair our stand that was at risk of closing he instead used the money to install facial recognition cameras. Members of our supporters trust (responsible for protests) have been followed around the stadium by stewards and harassed for handing out leaflets and flags being taken off people illegally. This chairman is a dictator, straight out of the old school. If he was the leader of a country it'd be North Korea esque. Almost everything that happens at the club is secretive, censored, never told to the fans, twisted, lied about. Senior members of staff dont exist. He's pretty much run the club fully himself with 1 or 2 of his pals who in 10 years have never interacted with a single fan of our club. I can't even begin to imagine what other sinister surprised lay in wait.

We are familiar with secrecy, borderline dictatorship and a select few staff who the owner trusts to run things but are badly ill equipped nor supported with appropriate staff around them.

Don’t wanna be all “pay nurses footballers wages” but they’re hardly asking Eric from the war torn Democratic republic of Congo to stump up for the ritz are they?

It's not surreal. It's going to be the normality now. The majority of teams are struggling and everything is going by the plan of the elite. They've ruined the sport and we're just here for its funeral.

I get the sentiment but...seriously?

What the fvck have the "elite" got to do with Chansiri behaving like an absolute prat and driving the club into the ground? There is literally no correlation at all.

I get the PSR rules etc protect the big clubs but SWFCs situation has absolutely nothing to do with any of that at all.

Could stay at Spagrave for nowt. Winks’ rooms going spare

We ought to be offering it up if it gets the game on.

Whilst an easy 3 points is warranted, an easy run out for marti is going to be very helpful.
