Last week was two games on the same day to get as many of them as possible 60+ minutes. You want your starting XI to get as many minutes as possible in the last friendly of the season ahead of thr real thing.

 

We won't sell more than 2 players in a week so this team will be 8-9/11 starting next week, I'd be amazed if it wasn't.

I wouldn't judge this much, Coady started and was captain against Koln and gas now gone.

 

Still think Marti is playing catch up, and working out the squad.

If Nelson's not fit, neither is Mavididi, Fatawu or Hermansen but all of them are starting. 

 

I don't think he's nailed down his defence yet but I think it's two of Vestergaard, Okoli and Faes.

He knows what Monga can do maybe he's looking to see if Mavididi can recapture some form. Agree re Nelson although is he fit for 90?

The world has changed, its such a squad game, most teams don't go that way any more.

It should be Okoli and Nelson.

I don't think anyone needs to worry about Monga. He's 100% going to be involved in the team this season.  He's not 100% to start.  And at 16 that's probably a much bigger positive than you think.  There's no need to start him in this.  He's already shone this preseason enough.

He still needed players to bail him out, the back line that season had more pace in Justin and Ricardo for the most part, those players are on another level to Choudhury and Thomas.

Selling 3 players would still leave us with a big squad, so we could have Nelson come in if fitter, Winks coming in, Monga starting, maybe Jakub, there are plenty of options in house.

The midfield is stinking the place out though.
