It's all about the midfield for me. If the mids put in even a half decent performance then Nelson's calm quality and potential shine through.

 

If the full backs add to the equation then we might even get a clean sheet.

Sure, but most sides will finish outside the play-offs. He would be the 2nd best CB at 90% of the teams in this league...

Sometimes a player is out for ages and his everyone clamouring for them to play like Hossein Kaebi. Then they play and it's like okay that's why he didn't. 

 

But with Nelson when you think of the potential value never mind the asset he is to us beyond this season, it's mind-blowing.

 

There was a theory that we weren't confident playing him with Vestegaard and it would be like for like but even that's gone out the window. Who knows. Just glad he's in and will stay there now.

Personally, I still think he has his eyes on a move elsewhere and we have left it too late to bring him in.

Why would he sign a new contract when he wasn't even on the bench for all those games until Martin got desperate ... Not sure hell want to sign a contract to stay in the Championship when he will likely have offers from better leagues. Even if he goes on a free Leicester will get compensation and a likely tribunal if he goes to an English club. If he is still starting at the end of the season, will LCFC sell him or hope he signs a new contract in his final year when we get promotion and risk only getting compensation???
