Not from me mate. Even my boy was saying he was the best player on the pitch yesterday. Great defending (some super blocks towards the end), great pace getting up the pitch and can head the ball like superman. Looked like a £15million defender. Played like a leader as well, and not someone who has just been given their chance.

Has to be number one CB choice from here on. Okoli can play with him as long as he keeps his game simple and doesn't play silly passes.

Fingers crossed we can dump Faes in the Jan window and we can get another CB in, or maybe Souttar still has a future for us. Either way, i want Vestergaard to be backup as I can't stand the way he plays out the back. Its a joy to watch Nelson burst up the pitch when you know what the alternative is.

Also, the lad is likable! Faes and Vestergaard have shat on this club several times.

The last game he looked like a quicker version of JV. Yesterday he looked like the player JV probably thinks he is. They still invite the press too much and play the pass to Ayew that never works but that’s a coaching issue all over the pitch.

He didn’t seem to put pressure on Okoli, Skipp or Jakob which is something JV does too often.

I can’t wait till he finds his own style from experience and a good manager but it’s looking positive. He could be a good DM as he can run with the ball.

They must have spoken about Okoli’s passing as he was only playing listen balls.  More communication and learning from mistakes is good to see.

I presume the Boxing Day match was the only time Okoli and Nelson had played together? The team had clearly worked on Okoli for sure.  Thing is though a better team will press the crap out of him and he will make a mistake again at some point.

Name a player in our back line that won’t

He’s had an injury but obviously I’d have loved it if we had brought him back earlier, he did get a niggle when we did bring him back though. Would love it if he stayed he and brought the club back up to decent levels of performance with commanding performances, I’ll be gutted if he goes.

No injury until the ankle niggle, Martin just preferred the bomb squad

Autocorrect. 😂 I meant to type lofted balls.

Nelson looked in control with the ball and confident in the pass, Okoli seems to let it roll while he decides what to do.

Looks to have lots of potential and it's another asset produced by Seagrave (let's hope his ACL survives).

Can't wait to blow pure profit on a 3yr contract for a 34y/o in summer before relegation beckons next season...

Was not aware he was a boyhood Leicester fan as he comes from Northampton and a fair chunk of our academy players seemingly don't support us so this just about makes him perfect. Massive talent. Sign that new deal Ben 🙏🙏🙏

Not to take anything away from him as I personally dont care who he supports but he's a Manchester United fan or at least he was when he was younger.

Maybe now he's grown up he's started supporting the team he plays for similar to someone like Carragher but in his own words he's not a lifelong fan, the journalist probably embellished that.

Here we go! This is how KDH was deemed not one of our own by fans once they ran out of other reasons to have a dig lol

Maybe I shouldnt have said anything but it is objectively correct that he was a Man United fan.

It's not like being a boyhood fan gives you any leeway. Luke Thomas is Leicester through and through yet is currently enemy number one in the eyes of fans.

Nelson is incredibly talented and from the academy, he shouldn't need to be a boyhood fan for fans to back him fully.

Wasn’t aimed at you as you are a big backer of the youth players.

More than when KDH was smashing it, those who clearly can’t stand seeing youth players do well ran out of on the pitch ways to pull him apart (whereas for Thomas there are plenty) and started using things like born at QMC in Nottingham and allegedly a Man Utd fans as a young kid to bash him.

Let’s be honest, bit of a mixed bag from him today. But all part of the learning curve he’s still on and would still be my first name on the team sheet in defence next match
