I understand why we would want to sell Wilf - he’s injury prone, and not the player he used to be - but I often wonder what makes players want moves like this?  He’ll presumably get paid a lot less there than in the UK championship.

Not sure I've ever been sad that we won't see him in a Leicester shirt again but not overly bothered he's gone at the same time.

Been part of good and bad times, in that time we've seen brilliance and ability that makes you question how he ever made it professional lol

Got nothing against him though, hope he as a fresh start and does well.

Sad to see him go, kinda thought he would still be here for this season but it's the right decision for all.

At one point he was the best defensive mid in the Premier League, wish him nothing but the absolutely best..... A great "Servant" some may say lol

Probably will be paid about the same, one of Turkeys biggest clubs, should be guaranteed European football most years, real chance of winning trophies, gets further away from Daka, the list goes on.

Brilliant at first and a proper replcement for Kante. Then he kind lost his mojo together with the rest of club. Was ready to let him go on a free last year and not too happy about the extension. But for once well played club, thats a very decent fee.

All the best Wilf.

I thought we’d have an impossible job and spend years trying to replace Kante but the club managed it (at the second attempt as Mendy was first) through Wilf. I don’t think we’d have been anywhere near the top five Prem finishes or FA Cup without him.

Turkey tends to pay fairly high wages i think. That and a signing on fee, it's probably good business for him.

He'll be playing for massive crowds and the football will be less physically intense and demanding than here, I can see the upsides.

In a world of uncertainty, Wilf was a real anchor.

If the ball fell nicely to him on the edge, you could be one hundred per cent sure that it was getting shanked right over the bar.

It's bizarre, when he first joined he scored a few screamers and then his technique seemed to get worse.

He has scored a decent amount for a DM though as his timing and positioning was pretty good in the box

If he’d played in any other era without a doubt people would say he’s a bona fide legend.

Feels like he’s getting the blame for the team around him being crap, not quite the player he was but his decline is overstated.

FA cup, Community shield and Championship winner, 302 appearances, 5th highest PL appearances. Played in the Champions League.

All whilst being one of the best DMs in the world at his peak.

He’s a legend in my opinion.

Yes, I think his being injury prone was why he didn't depart for elsewhere when we were relegated last time in 2022-23....
