Far from it.

As I said yesterday, the game have changed (for the worst) but thankfully football is ‘changing’ again.

I’ve always completely refuted the idea that just because 85% of teams play one way, it means the others have to conform

Oh I fully agree a norm need not be adhered to, without that outlook there can be no innovation.

On the flip side it is just this innovation that delivers playing out from the back, something that is statistically valid, even if not to everyones taste.

Did you go QPR away in 2013?

I was going even more niche with Cov away 2009.

Weale punts it, Howard nods it down for a Waghorn thunderbastard.

No PC bullshit. Brexit Means Brexit.

I was going with Kasper trying to go long away at Bournemouth and smacking it in to the back of Ndidi lol

Or that time against Stoke when Kasper kept punting the ball to Paul Lambert on the touchline because he was wearing a blue jumper!

Don't think he was ever destined to stay beyond his contract with us. If we'd have stayed up we might have got another year out of him but bigger clubs would have been circling by then.

Genuinely don’t think there’s that much between Stolarcyck and Mads. Mads might be a slightly better shot stopper but Jakob is better coming for corners and crosses. Mads is great with his feet but that’s mainly short range passing, he’s not particularly a pinger like Pickford, more a confident pivot that just keeps the ball moving. His pivot play is a luxury that a struggling premier league club probably won’t maximise use of. That might be a fair description of WHAM this year tbh.

Simple game, complicated by idiots

Yeah, the vast majority of Europe's best managers have all got this football malarkey wrong, Year of The Fox knows how's it done!

We now seem to be significantly weaker than 2 years ago. Late business but the squad needs additions if we genuinely want to challenge over the season.

Mads is a very talented keeper, not very tall but superb build, springy, great reactions. Did exceedingly well in certain games last season. Compounds our plight seeing someone I'd genuinely like to see at the club for years to come move to West Ayym.

Debate about keepers playing out from the back makes me think of this absolute beauty of a YouTube.  Oi Imposters nnnnooooo!! Baffling people with their stats and their laptops using phrases like 'pressing' and 'cortado'.  Scum of earth.

Makes complete sense but another gut punch that reminds you of the severity of our decline.

We competed for a top 4 spot two seasons in a row and now we're selling our prized asset to West ham.

Think defence has been our biggest weakness as a club over the past 3 seasons and this is another regression.

Have faith in jacub for the championship but Mads could have been in the spine of the team for a decade or so.

He's absolutely class and was recovering from injury end of last season. Will hit silly heights.

I find myself surprisingly unbothered by this. I think it’s embarrassing that we have fallen so far as a club we are selling to West Ham though.

As a player, a very good goalie no doubt but we have a replacement who will not make us a weaker team. We have the opportunity to strengthen as a result. Whether we take that opportunity is to be seen.

Always expected him to not stay long with us, but assumed he'd go to a top club, rather than someone like West Ham. Would have been a sideways step in most seasons.

Good keeper with a lot of potential. Seemed injured a lot of the time though if my memory is correct (especially for a keeper). Sad to see him go but I'm honestly not too fussed. Rather he went than the likes of Monga who was also rumored to be leaving at the end of last season.

It is what it is that’s our situation. Not good enough to keep him and not good enough to sell him.  Jacob will do a decent job for us in the champ as long as he is well protected by our defenders. I hope we have a good backup in case Jacob gets injured?

time to sell wout farce please!

Good luck Mads. We will see if we have lost a superstar in next few years. So we have now got 30 million in. Wages reduced by 300k per week 15 million per year. If we are going to spend some of it do it wisely. No over 30s. No stupid long contracts and no huge salaries. If any players will only come for those things, they can go elsewhere.
