As good as he was, for £20m, we can now most likely purchase a decent goalscorer.

I don’t get the decision to play him last week though.

That’s assuming they get another goal scorer in.  Last season we sold KDH and got Ayew, Reid & Bilal.  Which will it be this time 😂

All the best to him, he deserves better than Loopy Leicester at this moment. Bright side is we made what, 9-10 mil profit? Not bad for a relegated side and with Jakub now the main man I'm more than ok with that.

If we keep Bilal we're laughing

Now this is sorted which it was always going to happen we need to get some deals done if our own now this should give us some decent room to do some stuff surely

Gutted. This has weakened the spine of the team. But this is what happens when you get relegated. The damage from Rodgers still causing aftershocks. Yes I am still that angry with him (and petty).

Great Keeper for us, some outstanding saves, crucial interceptions and bright moments that led to us counter attacking!  From what I can see a nice bloke with a great future in the game.

Hopefully this means Bilal can stay

Not sure it does. Obvs would love to keep him but most know he doesn't want to be here and most also know he's too good for this league.

I think we'll see him leave closer to the window closing, and just hope we get a decent fee again. And more to the point I hope we have adequate and suitable replacement(s) ready!

Well we knew it was happening, still it's very sad to see him go. Could have been our GK for 5 years + had we not cocked up last season.

A reminder to everyone who just wants to "Play the Kids" this Season.

If we don't get promoted, Fatawu, BEK, Monga, Nelson etc, will all be going for peanuts next Season too.

A decent goal scorer for £20m in this market? Dream on!

Hopefully his bloody mate Kristiansen buggers off as well now.

Don't understand the hate for him. He's only 22 and a Season in the Champ should do him good.

Who's "the kids" you're referring to? Cus I'd consider 2 of them to be the one's from our academy that people want us to play.

If you're insinuating that "the kids" aren't very good then you'd expect to sell them for peanuts anyway.

Decent signing for West Ham, a loss for us but we have a very confident player to step up for us. let’s hope Mads can stay injury free and has a long career with many future seasons finishing 1 place below us

He'll suit Potter's football well.

Good keeper and shouldn't be playing at this level. Feel like we could have got a bit more but not disappointed. 18-20m would be within the range i'd hope, just at the lower end.

Made sense to sell I guess because would Jakub have stayed / not kicked off.

I guess this way we now have Jakub for years instead of trying to replace 2 keepers in 1 season because Mads would have gone at the end of this 1 anyway by choice or due to a larger fee.

It's profit and we have now acquired about £30m in transfer fees with perhaps £400k a week off the wage bill with only our first choice GK lost. Jakub is plenty good enough imo, we can now invest in a new striker and can play hard ball if anyone comes in for more critical outfield players.

As good as Mads was before Christmas, he was never the same for me after his injury. No disrespect to West Ham as I do think he's a very Graham Potter keeper, but he'd have been destined for better things than them if he'd kept up his early season form.
