Yep. Compare his effort to Soumare’s (not just today, every single game). Night and day.

Was thinking more Coventry in and Skipp out. Thought soulmate looked decent today, not saying he’s an incredible and he obviously has a lot of making up to do. But if he plays like that all season I’d be happy with him.

Skipp on the other hand…

Watching from the US and the pundit just described El Khannouss as a “big strong CB” - how on earth do these people get jobs 🤣

I sense an opportunity….  :D

We're mid table at best unless 4 or 5 signings come in and hit the ground running.

Yes it's 3 points, but over the course of 46 games playing like that will find us out eventually.

So is it almost safe to assume with incoming points deductions that we have less than 0 points and more more than 2? Will take it but do we ever need to "gel" ASAP.

Also kept calling Jakub “Kaminski” and mixing up Page and Soumare

We are still needing individual moments to win games otherwise no threats at goal from us, a dynamic central midfielder is desperately needed to get us up the field especially if we are going to persist with Ayew up front, no point in him holding it up with no runners around him

Effort does not equal points though. I know people love to see players charging around like lunatics though.

Strange comment

Why is Patson Daka a footballer? He is absolutely awful. Has a first touch like a donkey and the awareness of a slug

Was that the game where he won MOM ?

Coventry wasn’t just useless effort though, he was the best outfield player on the pitch and could’ve had a few goals if it wasn’t for stolarcyk

Bitch all you want, 3 points is 3 points. Pretty ugly but given what Cifuentes has to work with at the moment I'm not sure what he's supposed to do.

I thought Vestergaard and Okoli were both pretty solid. Ironically Fatawu was generally dire other than his goal (and he took a well-deserved rebuke from Vesty for cheaply giving the ball away late), but that's why you have players who can change the game with one moment of brilliance. And right now he's the only one we have.

He was right to give him both barrels, Fats had 30 yards in front of him and chose to stand on it, and lose it!

Why? It’s true isn’t? We tend to equate more effort with more success, but today Charlton showed more effort, but got less.  :dunno:

Tough game, done well to come away with the 3 points but hard fought win in the end.

I remember when we were beat at there ground regularly. Every bit a bogey side for us back then.

Defensively, today.

Okoli will rightly get stick for some of his passes, but on the whole he was solid. That block in particular was crucial and he did it well. Vestergaard again showed how poor for a man of his stature in defending in the air. Hamza looked good and rugged at RB though would probably struggle against more pace. But was very good today. Luke Thomas is so lacking in physical presence and doesn't seem to have developed in that or any facet of his game sadly. Good to see Riccy P get minutes.
