I think at this point in the season, that is what it’s about.

 

our squad is up in the air. We are in financial ruin. I expect our incomings to be very late in the window when we know how much we’ve banked and how much we can spend.

 

Things will/should start to take shape around October when the squad is settled. Until then it’s a case of grinding out results and making sure we are in and around the mix. Whilst performances have been awful, we have 2 wins out of 3, which isn’t actually that bad considering what we feared.

That doesn’t even require much skill, it’s just being at it from minute one, and we’ve seen none of it thus far

 

Massive week ahead, if we can avoid defeat against Birmingham and get at least a couple of new faces in then I’d take that going into the international break

The press and energy came from 20 players. Can't do that in league games all match. It was part of the pre season fitness program.

That can't be right. I was told vestegaard isn't even a championship level defender these days.

Then I would be confident thinking we should be ok.

People forget just how shit the vast majority of this league is.

 

Charlton were right up for it but most of their efforts on goal came from just lumping it to the big bastard and their finishing was dreadful.

You mean they stood off him completely so he had loads of space, on his best runs he stood and looked around like he didn`t have a clue what to do because he still had the ball, yep his best game by far, BAAA

The problem is CM. We have absolutely nothing in there. Teams can dominate that area on the ball and double up on our wingers off it because our midfielders can't create anything.

Midfield shape was much better when Winks came on. Soumare and Skipp were taking the same space when our defenders had the ball. Way too close to each other
