We should’ve sold our women’s team to ourselves… I’m sure there are other schemes that we should come up with..

The issue is that involves King Power spending some of their own hard cash at it. Which has been very rare recently excepting the debt buy out

Maybe, one week left of the window and not a single reputable rumour of any incomings…

I reckon a few loans in close to the deadline is best case scenario, but let’s see.

I’m find with that, this club has desperately need a clear out. If the only business we do is secure 2/3 loan deals is that such a bad thing for us?

I am ok with that providing the wages are not EPL level.

Fair enough.. why didn’t they think of that last year. Chelsea have driven a coach and horses through the PL rules. But that’s seemingly okay

They hadn’t thought of it

Chelsea ‘announced’ it in April

since then villa and Everton have jumped on the bandwagon

we couldn’t cos we weren’t a PL club come June 30

Agreed, it would be a good thing, hence best case scenario. There is a reasonable chance we sign nobody depending how many more we able to shift on.

Loans with an option to buy should be the only deals we do imo.

What you want to bet we wouldn't have been allowed to.

It's not okay, it was a loophole and they exploited it.

We're throwing stones in glass houses at this point.

Lets assume the worse and we have been given a transfer embargo.

Are we still able to sign free agents and bring in players on loan.

Or is every decision in the hands of the EFL and treated on a case by case basis?

If we had been given an embargo, which we haven't, then no we wouldn't be able to sign anyone as we have a squad that has over 23 "permitted players"

Permitted Player = is any Player who has, at any point during his career, started in 3 League Matches in the same or higher division as the Club that the Player is currently registered with, or is registered with the Club during the period of time that the Club is subject to a registration embargo.

He's literally just given you proof of why we're not under one and you've followed up saying "if we have"....

We couldn't have added Begovic if we were under embargo, we did, therefore we're not.

What have me made, net, on transfers since the end of last season? Someone usually does anyone ins and outs thread, but I've not seen it this time round.

No transfer fees included.

If the transfer embargo story is untrue, I’d expect the club to be briefing journalists accordingly - it’s not the kind of thing they’d want being reported about us if it wasn’t true. So if none of the reporters who follow us contradicts the story in the next day or so, it will suggest there is something in it…

Why in the f$ck wouldn't the leadership team come out and say it then to save the fans clamoring for their dismissal?

That involves being good a business (scam yes but that is business)

but top and rudkin have no idea on what running a business actually looks like.

I'd wager it isn't true, and the club would genuinely rather have this floating around as a smokescreen for their own inability to bring anyone in.

Fact of the matter is, we've been pathetically slow to act in the market yet again and this at least does something to take people off the scent and think "awww, poor King Power, they're not signing people because of the big bad EFL!"

My partner's Grandad is obsessed with this supposed embargo, he's been texting me about it nonstop for the past few days. I've had to remind him multiple times that A) we've signed a goalkeeper and B) none of this excuses our pathetic lack of action for the past 3 months.

maybe that’s why we are pretending to sign stengs

Do we think there's somebody at the club whose sole job is to trawl through the internet and find out what the latest piece of information is that's floating about and upsetting a few forum users and needs to be officially addressed?

Cos if there is, what's it paying?
