Has any mentioned he was decent before his injury?

Great player before his injury.

Unfortunately lost a bit of confidence after, and never regained his form.

Last season didn't help as he was severely exposed game after game due to the inadequate Centre Half's that were in the team

Literally 4 posts down lol

Ah, the old undisclosed fee… so was it us embarrassed at the amount we received or is it Leeds not wanting to let slip how many pound notes they’ve spent?

We never announce the fee.

Not bad money for a player in the final year of his contract.

Like many have said not the same since injury and as last season proves he's probably not at the required standard for that level. At fault for 20+ goals last season.

Nice guy though with a good professional attitude.

Probably a bit too nice for the scum of Leeds!

Honestly, he probably had one good season, the rest of it he’s stunk the place out. £10m of the kings is scandalous to be fair. Fair play Rudders for this one, he’s flogged a dead horse. Good riddance.

As a defender, below average, but always thought going forward he would likely provide several assists a season and scored some good goals. £10m is about twice I expected to get for him, particularly as he was in his last year of his contract. A real trier, honest lad and genuinely seemed passionate. Good luck to him in his future career.

For a few months before his first bad injury he looked like he was going to be special, he never got his confidence back after that and has been a bomb scare for 2 seasons.

Wish him luck though!

No doubt it’s the right decision money wise and I agree his form has been pretty garbage but and it’s a big but just remember we are ending up with Thomas as our left back because we are selling jj and Thomas is absolutely undeniably Honking with a capital H - jj a million times better left back still and always will be - just another downgrade and reminder where we are at - grim

Tried his best, seems a decent bloke but at the risk of sounding like a meme, he was never the same after his injury. Cruel really, as he looked as though he could be a genuine option for Southgate beforehand.

I wish him well and £10m is excellent business for us. With Justin, Ndidi and McAteer, that's over £30m in what I'd call bonus business. It gives us something to spend and/or some bargaining power in any further sales. We do need to get more bodies in and quick, mind.
