Way to butcher this meme format

No problem, anytime

Bali Mumba LB/LWB from Plymouth

CB - Will Fish from Cardiff or a cheeky offer to Stoke for Maxsym who was at Plymouth last season but isn’t first choice this season but would be class alongside Ben Nelson

Recall Sammy Braybrooke who is doing superbly well at Newport

Sign Charlie Savage from Reading to play alongside Jordan James as our DM’s or as 8’s

If we did make a sale or 2 and did have some money to spend then I would look at Tony Fruk at Rijeka can play as AM or ST only 24 years old. With good stats of 7 goals and 2 assists in 14 games this season following on from 14 G and 10 A last season

First stop: Send Carranza back, loan Joël Piroe.

I'm quite liking what Harry Amass is up to at Wednesday as a LB option...but taking from Wednesday feels a bit like stealing candy from a baby 😬. Anyone got any LB suggestions?

I'm a little concerned by Ramsey's injury...so we may need to get another CAM in too.

Those three have to be the focus areas. And if we can ship out the likes of Soumaré and Skipp, all the better. I'd say the same of Faes, but...he does have some value at this level.

Might be too young and inexperienced given our needs right now, but Harley Mills at Peterborough seems to be well thought of there, only 20. I can’t say I know much about him but they do seem a good club for developing players who go on to much higher levels. They are the sort of punts we need to go back to anyway, whether he’s good enough I don’t know.

Test Bristol City for Anis Mehmeti

Contract is up in the summer

Plays attacking mid and left wing

Makes far too much sense to target one of the top performers in the league out of contract in 6 months.

never going to happen.

I am from the future.

The new director of football won’t be appointed until mid January, by which time available talent will have been snapped up and we’ll have to make do with overspending on guff.

3rd Feb we’ll see an article saying how difficult it is to move in the January window and that we are restricted by FFP as we watch someone like QPR get in 3/4 exciting players in on the cheap.

striker, left back

Right back

In that order

Left back is priority yeah.

Striker as well. I do think strikers more than other positions even, the targets would vary so much depending on the league we are in. I’m not sure the best approach. I can’t see us committing to permanent transfers anyway, so maybe a James type deal.

Right back, do we just put our faith in Aluko and see if he is up to it? We have a few right backs on the books (Coulibaly as well as youngsters). I’d rather do this and assess in the summer.

The positions you haven’t mentioned are centre back and centre mid. The problem with both these positions is that we have too many that we need rid of before we can add. Vestergaard, Faes, Winks, Soumare, Skipp. None of them are contributing. I suppose you could argue that with 3 strikers, we are bloated in that position, just with nobody who can consistently put the ball in the net!

I think our centre backs are more than good enough for this league and aren't the issue. Scoring goals is the issue imo. I think left and right back are important as we need full backs that can join the attack.

Centre mid isn't great but winks and JJ are good enough and skipp can do a job so long as he gives the ball to somebody else once he gets it. Number 10 would be my next priority above CM and CB as that link player is missing and JJ much better as an 8.

We have 2 LB's and one broken RB. Why is everyone saying LB?

Striker, RB and send back Carranza and even Ramsey if he is broken. (loan a replacement)

We have a highly regarded right back knocking on the door in Aluko. There is no way he could put in performances as bad as Thomas/VK. Makes more sense than people saying play Aluko at left back anyway. He could be integrated rotated with Ricardo.

Many of these positions are stacked (numbers wise) anyway, so once again, it becomes about who we can shift before we think of incomings.

I think both centre back and mid are weak for us but end of the day, we will have to shift before we can bring in. I will die on the hill that Faes and Vestergaard are shit even at this level.

But yes, I agree with the point that the full backs, as well as not contributing to a strong defence, are also offering nothing in attack.

LB is a weak position, but as you say like many of our weak positions, we are surprisingly stacked in them! Quite a mess we have made.

To be fair whilst we don't rate our defenders its pretty clear our issue is the other end. We can get by with this defence if the attack improves.

We've conceded less than any of the sides below us and a good number of those above us, however we're being outscored by a number of teams above us as well as some below us.

Of course fullbacks can help us on the offensive side more than they do currently but the priorities lie with improving the attack.

Sign Max Caputo.

Many, many people are saying sign Max Caputo.

Banzuzi isn't getting very many minutes at Leipzig. We were linked before (ex-Leuven), a loan in January would be great.
