He knows we will at least double, probably triple his wages

I wasn't thinking about money to be honest. But a quick search suggests he's on €29000 pw which is £25k.  Are we doubling that in the championship?

Until we get the new technical director in I wouldn’t be surprised with the 2 plums who would be making that decision

In a similar shout to Banzuzi, I'd be asking about Lennon Miller who has played a grand total of 144 minutes for Udinese.

Also Joao Rego who we were linked to in the summer has played just 141 minutes of football for Benfica.  Has a goal and 2 assists to his name from that too!

Just to add, we already have 3 loan signings so I would imagine any incoming deals would be permanent… but I still think it will depend on players leaving first. Winks and skipp and Daka have to be  on the block… plus I’d imagine Vesty might be wanted  because he is near the end of his deal… most teams seem to like a player almost out of contract ( as do we)

Isn’t it 5 loans you can have in the matchday squad? I’d imagine we get a couple of loans in before anyone permanently. Anyone we shift, fees and wages off the books will just go into the black hole of our finances.

Daka won’t go. He may sign a pre-contract elsewhere but if not, he will likely stay around until the end of the season.

Skipp, far far too much on the amortisation on his contract for anybody to approach us for him.

And Vestergaard. He is the managers first pick on the team sheet and has until summer 2027 so he won’t be going anywhere.

You can have more but you can only have 5 in a matchday squad, so if we can throw Carranza back we can still get another 3.  If not, then 2.  We could probably also trigger the JJ deal and make him permanent earlier.  We need to be getting players in on loan to buy options because we're well fxxked in the summer with outgoings.

An almost complete rebuild or as much as we can manage, can't stress it enough. Toxic squad that needs freshening up badly.

Maswanhise

. Infuriating that he never got a chance. Not saying he definitely would have been good enough but when we were playing with only 3 wide players, sometimes time in the squad and he'd had that excellent pre-season, to not have given him a few cameos at least was shocking.

Enzo seemed to favour Wanya over Maswanhise and we've paid the price.

Sign up Jordan James in January, with a view to giving him the captaincy in the summer and promise to build a team around him. Keep working with the youngsters and carry on selling the deadwood.

If we get into the playoffs, then great, but the priority needs to be next season and having a healthy squad of players who want to be here. Hopefully this PSR/points deduction nonsense has been resolved and that can be behind us to give things a proper go next season.

Not top priority maybe but I feel we could do with another wide option. Bobby looks more useful playing centrally and should probably be first choice there with Ramsey out, Silko Thomas I'm really not convinced is up to it, Cifuentes doesn't appear to have a great deal of faith in either Monga or Evans at present. Thinking of Boro having Gannon-Doak last season or Ipswich getting Sarmiento in January 24 - got to be some Premier League youngsters/squad players looking for minutes, surely?

I’ll be shocked if we are even in a position to spend money again yet. Could see Carranza loan being cancelled and hope we’d be after Piroe from Leeds. Maybe a CM can come in if we can ship out Wout and Winks

We need a striker.  Hopefully we can bin off Carranza and try again.  But we'll need players up front no matter where we end up at the end of the season.  We'll have 0 under contract in the summer as things stand.  So that with the added fact that none of them score anyway, we need at least 1.

Really think we should go after Joel Piroe if we could afford it. Even if it was just a loan. He's barely playing for Leeds at the moment.
