A good listen however I wasn't keen on when asked which players had impressed him most since joining, first few players he mentioned were Silko Thomas, Oliver Skipp and Decordova Reid 🤦‍♂️

It must've been some kind of macabre skit. Footlights stuff, selling out at the fringe.

He only mentioned Silko and Skipp as the players who had the highest numbers for ground coverage etc on the GPS tracking thing they use.

Did sound like he genuinely rates BDCR though. We'll see, redemption arc coming?

As we’ve discussed before, BDCR is unfairly maligned. It’s understandable, but it’s lazy. He might be shit, but he hasn’t had a fair crack of the whip enough for us to properly judge.

I hope he does demonstrate his abilities with us. I’d hope everyone on here would hope for that too.

I don't listen to these things now. Managers at this level all need to speak very well. Cooper did at first, RVN did.

I'd listen to Nigel all day long for example, but that's only after a managers credit and trust is built. It's easy to say the right things, especially early doors, so I won't get sucked in personally. Glad he came across pretty well by the sounds of it

Same with player interviews. I listened to Skipp earlier and he said all the right things. Too easy to say what people want to hear. Judge them on their performances and results only

Enjoyed listening to that, he speaks well and sounds like he thinks about the beauty of the game.

I'm still positive this is the guy to lead us for many years

For context the question was in regards to impressing in training from a physical standpoint, he also mentioned Page.

in addition he also gave a nod to Riccy P for his intelligence and Winks and Vestergaard for how they always want to talk football.

You’d prefer him not to be impressed with them? Weird that it upsets you, it’s in our interest for them to do well.

Yep this is pretty spot on. Huge difference between saying what the fans want to hear and actually following through.

I think we'll have a good idea by Christmas, once the new manager bounce has passed and the players feel comfortable.

I hope he's the one as I've liked him for a few years now, but every manager is good with the media these days, even the terrible gaffers.
