What are you expecting from Soumare? lol

He was nice and dull, so fine.

I expect him to at least look like he’s above a tier 5 non league player, low expectations, new lows achieved.

Kept the highest scoring team in the league out and their keeper made the second most saves of any keeper so far this season. Carenza seemed effective during our best period.

Yes, could've finished better, it was disappointing, but no need for a meltdown, not by a long way.

Genuinely not seen a performance worse than Ayew in a long time. Just an all time stinker of falling over the ball, going missing and killing attacks. Carranza had some really good looking linkup play, all 1 touch stuff. Got to start over Ayew next week.

Shout out to Monga absolutely assassinating their winger, turned him inside out like 6 times then sat him down, outrageous for a 16 year old

The Sky Sports coverage is a disgrace. They have spoken exclusively about Cov deapite them having 40% of the ball, cov goalie making 9 saves, us having the best 3 chances.

Totally agree that Ramsey comes in and Soumare drops out. Kristiansen for Thomas as well. Thomas offers nothing to support the winger.

Fine margins. Bury one of our guilt-edge chances and the mood in the camp would be considerably rosier.

A shame because otherwise, our game plan worked.

I thought we were OK, overall our best performance of the season (not a high bar) and no surprise it came with Ricardo and Winks (and probably also Faes) in the team, as well as Skipp out of it. Guessing Ricardo coming off was a fitness thing which is understandable but unfortunate because that change basically killed the game. James looked decent despite wasting one of our better chances and Carranza was pretty lively off the bench. Mavididi and Ayew were very poor, Choudhury looked like he was playing football for the first time in his life and four more years of Thomas is a grim prospect.

Coventry were absolutely shit and it does feel like we let them escape with a point I imagine they'll be pretty pleased with. We don't create enough chances to get away with being so wasteful with the ones we do make.

We did ok today and should have won. We need a genuine striker. So many time we had the ball on the wings and the furthest player was JJ, with Ayew no where to be seen.

Coventry probably had the easiest start to the season in the divison

They've played QPR, Norwich and Oxford. QPR are 8th, Norwich 12th. they did play Derby and Hull which you'd consider easy, but we have played Oxford, Wednesday and Charlton.
Our start has been just as "easy" as theirs, in fact, we have played 3 teams that are 18th or below so far.

Edit: They played Milwall in the cup, not the league.

Yes, Soumare was fine, not being clinical is why we didn't win

I thought Soumare was poor for first 30 minutes or so but 2nd half I thought he played well and was a lot more progressive with his ball carrying and passing. That 2nd half needs to the blue print moving forward, we created some really good opportunities but lacked the quality or composure to take advantage.

Really cannot agree with the negativity, this was a performance, in particular in terms of how we want to play that is a step in the right direction. We created some good chances what we have to accept is that we have lost players like Vardy, it’s not the managers style of play that is the issue, it’s the fact that we don’t have that out and our goal scorer in our side. However I thought Carranza had a promising cameo, once we get Ramsey back and play with a natural 10 with JJ and Winks in the pivot I think we really push on as an attacking force.

More positives than negatives for me.

I’m not sold on the idea of both of them playing together… like many I see suggesting.

Maybe at times - but my gut tells me it’s one of them alongside Soumare that will be Marti’s preference.

Not saying too much but thought it was the best performance of the season so far. Played some decent stuff after half time and should have scored during that period. When we're lacking a striker who will get us 20 goals, we need to make sure we're getting our fair share of set piece goals and we didn't look that threatening from them today

Soumare was fine today

He really wasn't! Lost the ball multiple times, lots of his passes were so poor causing issues. Negative 99% of the time, lazy, no footballing brain. Just a poor player who gives nothing to this team!

Always frustrating to draw without scoring at home.

Trying to find the positives, though.

Coventry are a good side in this division. Not scoring against them isn't an indication that we won't score freely against the majority of teams in this division.

More than anything, I continue to be pleasantly surprised by our defensive improvement and general sense that the team is working as one and putting in the hard yards.

We probably won't finish in the top 2, but there was a moment at Preston away that I genuinely started to fear the trap door.

Getting Winks and Pereira back into the 11 is a good start. I think we'll probably be top 6, depending on the potential deduction.

If you look for it, you will see it, pretty much the same for most of the team. He was fine, like Ayew, just unremarkable compared to what our ideal for the position(s) are.

You don't have to look for it. Every game he is poor, he can have 1 semi decent game in 50

Must have been a lot of issues for how many shots Cov had

Absolutely no teeth going forward

Sort that out and we will do well this season, I forgot the amount of chances Ayew got the ball then fluffed it.... Same with Mavs

Generally if we played our best players from the start we win that game.

The fact that we don't like to play our best players is the reason we will finish 10th.

Thought there was more positive than negative. Frustrating and should’ve won it second half but felt we had more of an idea of how we want to play. The two loanees have big potential too.
