Think we are seeing how useful Ndidi was to Fatawu, his running into the channels gave him an option or gave him more space. Add Ricardo to that too.

Hopefully Ramsey can offer a similar role.

Ricardo for Hamza will be the only change I reckon. Hopefully he saw enough in Daka (from a team point of view) to persevere rather than recall Ayew.

Yeah Wilf was always going to be a big miss, he was a big part of our attacking threat in the championship. I think Jordan James will now fill that.

If Ramsey lives up to his previous championship form, we should look a lot more dangerous with those 2 playing.

But still can't get the ball in the net

Well, we need to see them play together first :D

Don't think our play really lends itself to goals or creating good chances anyway. 99% of the time when we're near the other teams box we've given them lots of time to get all 10 men within 25 yards of their goal.

It'll just give us more chance having players that are willing and able to take risks and create something out of nothing. Ideally we'd look to actually play forwards with a much higher tempo so teams don't have time to get in their shape.

Have a look at the 'movement' in the box next time he tries to cut in. Nobody else wants the ball in the final third.

Yeah this is an issue I said in the other thread. He frustrates me cutting inside doing the same thing all the time but then again nobody else carries any threat or wants to move.

With Mavididi struggling this has got a Bobby LW and Ramsey in the 10 feel about it.

Should be:

Stolarczyk

Ricardo

Okoli

Nelson

Aluko

Winks

James

Fatawu

Bobby

Monga

Daka

Will be:

Stolarczyk

Ricardo

Faes

Vestergaard

Thomas

Winks

James

Fatawu

Ramsey

Bobby

Ayew

I don't think there's a single reason for Daka to be starting games for us.

I doubt BDCR will start again. I would imagine that Ramsey starts and Bobby comes on for him for the last half hour or so.

Bouba and Okoli look our best strikers in the pre match training video lol

Worse case scenario, they start up front, play badly, fail to score and give the ball away a lot. If that happened, they'd still be on the same level as the actual strikers we have lol

When has that ever stopped anyone from forming an opinion on here?!

He's going to find it harder over the season ... teams are starting to put 2 men on him when he receives the ball ... he needs more balls to run onto instead of to his feet

While he didn’t add much, he caused less problems than Ayew.  Who causes problems in other areas as well as up front. The other option would be Mavadidi.

Daka has to start as he's the only one who can press.

We lose so much with him in the team due to the fact he has the technical ability of a toddler.

Yes he's the only striker we have that wants to run around but **** me 99 times out of 100 an attack breaks down the second he's given the ball. We're bad enough at getting the ball up the pitch and keeping it there as it is, adding Daka to the mix makes in near impossible.

It's that desperate here that i'd sooner they either played Bobby, Page or Ramsey in a sort of false 9 role or just took the hit and gave Evans or Richards a whirl.

Very easy for defences to concentrate on our wingers and nullify them as we have almost no threat at all at 9 or 10.
Last time in the championship we had Vardy & KDH an Mavididi gave us a 12 goal return.

I know I essentially called him shit and wrote him off but ignoring that, I want to see Carranza start.

Just give him a run of games and see what happens. Unless he really is shit then we’re ****ed.

All analysis aside Flippin heck we really do need to win this game and get all 3 points. The table is really tight and at some point some teams are gonna start to break away.

with out points deduction looming we need to be as high as possible so we’re not pegged down too much and out of sight when it hits. Cmon foxes!

That’s simply not true. The whole shape of the team looked far better with a striker in it than when we’ve started with Ayew up front. We only lost our way against Wrexham mid way through the 2nd half through poor game management and substitutions.

Our striker options are incredibly poor, but at least Daka offers an outlet and somebody the opposition has to mark. Ayew has zero pace and no physicality so is about as effective as a can of baked beans at no.9.

Daka is obviously not the long term answer as he’s proven that over many seasons, which is why it’s depressing that he might still be our first or second best striker. Ayew doesn’t even register to be called a striker. Not even a poor one

and to get support from the RB or CM to make teams pay for double teaming him.
