This is the worst case scenario for the club. 100% No question at all.

This departure only strengthens the power Rudders now has with Top. Yes Susan has made some commercial mistakes, some big ones too, I just hope that Rudders is next in line who has made just as many and just as costly

I think we agree for the most part but this may force tops hand. Sort out the mess and get the right people in or seek owners who can.

I thought Susan got most things right and deserves credit for her tenure at the club. If it’s true that her relationship with Rudkin was broken it’s probably because she had challenged him and maybe didn’t get support from the chair and non-exec.

Vardy on Instagram

“It’s hard to imagine Leicester without Susan. She’s been such a constant presence, not just in her work but in the way she’s poured her heart into the people around her.

“Susan has given so much of herself: time, energy, passion, loyalty. She stood by people, worked tirelessly, and always went above and beyond, not because she had to, but because that’s simply who she is.

“Those of us who know Susan personally know her value goes far beyond titles and positions. She is a force of kindness and clarity, a friend who listens without judgement and speaks truth with courage.

“On a personal level, I can’t thank Susan enough for everything she did for me. She believed in me when I doubted myself, she encouraged me when I was struggling, and she always had the right words at the right time.

“Her kindness, honesty and wisdom have left a mark on my life that I’ll carry with me always.

“Thank you, Susan, for everything you’ve done not only for me personally but also my family. You’ve made a bigger difference than you’ll ever know. We wish you all the success for the future.”

“ speaks truth with courage”

interesting choice of words…

That sounds about right, but the thing is- she clearly had zero influence and if that’s not true, she clearly wasn’t as good as others are saying.

We are currently a shower of shit despite her being here,  so you’ve got to wonder how good she actually was.

The thing with Dumb and Dumber is that it’s pretty clear that they do what they want, I doubt Susan would have been listened to and respected anyway.

I suspect that she’s tried to do the very best she can but it’s all fell on deaf ears.

The club feels like it’s more in free fall than it’s ever been

Wasn't she the only prem CEO to stand against some crazy crap during covid too? Pay per view games or something like that?

Mad how on Thursday she was the devil and now Vardy's said some nice things the tide has changed. Yes our club is a mess but the fans have become more fickle than ever before.

I have to tell you that much of what the club did which was good was nearly always down to her.  She has an instinct of what is the right thing to do (especially in the community).  However bad you think we are in this respect atm, prepare yourselves !

Yeah i see that. The lack of communication will reach new levels of silence. Wouldn't be surprised to see Herhily get an even senior role at this club, strikes me as the sort Top would want around him.

The fanbase has been fairly amicable with our board this season so far, wonder how quickly that changes given our half decent start is now looking very mediocre.

I haven’t been keen to slag off the board whilst she was in place because I know some of the things she’s done over the years and what a capable person she is. we won’t find out the reasons that she’s now left. it’s possible that top wants to do some things that she wouldn’t countenance- we’ll find out over the next year or two.

What's the general plan here? Make some half-arsed efforts at getting a proper replacement then give up and offer it to Andy King?

I might be wrong but didn’t she play a role in the kickback against the super league proposition?  If not it was something similar where her moral compass drew praise from the majority or EPL clubs at the time.

It's hard to see how it will go. I think Tops heart is in the Club,  It's just if he has the know how to improve things.

Or the wisdom to hire someone like Pearson to guide him in the right direction.

Mewhile we suffer on under Rudkin.

I don’t agree with that at all !
Most of us given the chance and the ability to run a football club would work tirelessly to succeed. Love for the club isn’t Losing 70 M per season for the past 5 seasons and it’s happening right there before you !!!!!! What is he looking at ?
It’s completely unacceptable really.

incompetent ? Probably

Disinterested and Lazy ? Almost certainly

It’s a symptom of the lack of transparency in the club. People believe conspiracies because the club doesn’t present any alternative narratives as nobody does interviews. Now she’s left, people feel comfortable in speaking out and it’s clear that she was most likely not the problem.

Lineker just interviewed on sky mentioned that he was v unhappy to see Susan pushed out.  Said rudders is ‘man marking’ the owner !

pretty clear what he thinks and we should realise that he will know plenty that he can’t speak about

Good on him

Will be interesting to see how many of our club legends come out to bat for Rudkin if he ever leaves

Maybe not legends but if you're a half-hearted journeyman, Rudders is your best friend and walking money tree.
