If hes struggling then it justifies subbing him. We cant carry him just because hes 16. It’s a Championship game not a school tournament.

Im absolutely fine with him being subbed but to say we’re playing with 10 men is nonsense.

Carranza showing glimpses of what he could be. To be fair to him had no service. Touch looks good and can be a target man. Just needs more matches.

I've been very critical of our performances but we've been good here. Could easily have more.

These are slop mind.

Hmmm…Half time…

Positives. Some good moments going forward. The Portsmouth team back off when we attack leaving a lot of space for our midfielders. There looks like more goals in it for us.

Fatawu & Ramsey have looked good for us

Negatives.

Lack of control is giving too many options for Portsmouth and you fear a mistake will let them in at some point.

Corners have been dreadful

Monga not been on it at all and also a lack of quality from Thomas at times

As crap as our number 9 options are, we look like we have way too much in the attacking third for this division. Need to start putting our chances away.

An encouraging 45 minutes.

The central combination of Ricardo inverting, Winks, James and Ramsey showed numerous positive signs in that half.

What wpuld be service to him out of interest because Ramsey and James have been class at attacking the space in the attacking third and opening up the pitch for our front three. Hopefully that leads to more chances for him but tonight is probably the most active i've seen our attack.

I think his movement looks good and he seems to have a knack of being in and around the right areas, but think his touch looks very poor, he did himself out of a one on one with a crap touch that went behind him

I honestly don't think we play as a team yet, I can kinda see in working sometimes in very short spells but we rely on individual brilliance.

I dont think I've seen a complete game of team work yet under Marti.

Maybe its just taking a long time to click

I don’t think Carranza has been that bad. Link up play has been slightly better.

His touch has been very heavy at times, but he does get in the box unlike Ayew, moves and presses less than Daka. Looks a bit slow. Hopefully will come good after getting used to the physicality here… but I’m not convinced.

What if what we need is a ‘striker’ who occupies defenders, makes space, but doesn’t score many goals?

Is shinji available?
