It's not a good squad but should still be a play off team at least in a mediocre division.

We're in a false position though as should be lower based on performances. So many stuffy late goals or random wonder goals have won us games we didn't play well in.

He should go, we are terrible to watch and he isn't making the most of the few good players we have. It is still the worst squad for two decades, though. Majority of these have been dreadful for 17 months under three different managers.

2 of those manager were managing in the PL, massively different.

People always point to how the squad is rubbish but whatever happened to managers maximising what they’ve got?

Work with what you’ve got and find solutions! He doesn’t ever try anything different. QPR fans used to say if his plan A fails you’re ****ed.

It's only individual quality that's produced anything, not coaching. We've scored a lot of worldies this season which is random and not sustainable.

I'm going to defend him slightly in the respect that most of these first teamers have been carried by others in better teams. Ricardo was class but is declining. Fatawu has something but is inconsistent. James isn't ours.

Thomas, Choudhury, Ayew, Reid all hitched a ride on the back of better and more skilful players here and elsewhere. Their weaknesses are stark. The youngsters are promising but you cannot build a top side around 16-18 year olds.

This squad is hideous but don't compound it by playing garbage like Ayew when we need pace up front. Playing Ricardo out of position which exposes him. Nelson at left back. Just don't do it.

Nelson at LB is a consequence of Luke Thomas making countless mistakes.

Ayew and Daka have both played up front, those are his options.

He could maybe play Mavididi but has he ever played there during his career, also his finishing is erratic.

Marti is out of his depth, has tried 99% of the players, but never changed his system for some reason.

I think even the most ardent supporters are waking up to the fact that a lot of us recognised a while ago: the team just isn't that good. Definitely not good enough to be challenging for promotion.

However, he is a poor manager who is currently in charge of a team which is less than the sum of its parts. Results aren't improving, which would be forgivable if we could see green shoots of recovery or something to cling on to. The two things I hung my hat on and defended him for were (i) the promotion of youth and (ii) the banishment of rotten apples. The trouble with that is I don't think he's managing the youth well (Monga?) and it's hard to give him credit when youth is all he has to turn to in a lot of cases. The bad apples are gone but the attitude is still honking, so there's also clearly something behind the scenes that isn't working.

He's out of his depth - at an admittedly atrociously run football club - and he has to go at this point.

Says on Wikipedia he has no club as sacked by Leicester.

It is but on the flip side we would have better options now with Vardy, Ndidi, Justin, El Khannouss etc.

Doing a poor job, I'm not disputing that, and I hope the next manager changes formation and personnel and increases fitness.

That's just Allardyce being Allardyce. Trying to complete the equivalent of the 92.
