He has had so much given to him to help him. A squad full of want aways, a board who have given him next to nothing and the remaining players either not good enough or not showing up for the most part.

Supporters have wanted him out before he was here. If he has any guts he would walk away because it may just make all of the above realize that at this time we are an absolute poisoned chalice. Would anyone with half a brain want this job because apart from the money there is no appeal.

The club has not even removed Rudkin. Whilst he is still around there remains a huge risk of the same mistakes, albeit he is not being allowed to get anyone in. We are effectively under a transfer embargo. We are not being allowed or enabled to spend anything. We are going one way. He is a small part of the problem but he is not THE PROBLEM.

If he is sacked today I don't think for a minute we will get anyone better. There will be no incoming players and we will have the same set of players. We do need some fresh faces, all clubs need that. We need some wise heads with a bit of character to get into the dressing room and start leading and firing up the players. When Pearson was here that was one of his criteria.

Can we please also get a decision about the points deduction? It is hanging over is like a bad smell. Do you have to wait until March/April to get it and then have no time to do anything about it? Could the club actually release an official statement setting out where we are? There is just nothing but silence.

This season is about staying in the league. If anyone wants this team to go up (bar the money) you must be mad. We would be one of the worst teams to be in the premier league.

I don’t think this is all true.

1) I think majority of fans would’ve been excited by the prospect of Cifuentes after an incredibly dour season of football with no real identity. Cifuentes came in and told us he idolised Cruyff and playing the Barcelona style of football. Have we seen this? In fact, have we seen any kind of coherent footballing identity for more than a 30 minute spell?

2) I don’t know if we’ll get better, that is true. What is also true right now is that I actually legitimately think we couldn’t do much worse given the football is crap, the results are crap.

3) the goal this season was not to stay in the division. I am certain that’s not what the board had expectations for. I reckon the goal was playoffs, with the points deduction. What we’ve got now sees dangerously close to a relegation scrap.

All the terrible managers must be queuing up, 6 months work for the big pay off. Let’s see which clown the bigger clowns pick this time.

Please please please don’t give it to Kingy till the end of the season.

Mowbray or Hassenhuttl please.

Hell I’d even have Rowett on a 6 month deal ahead of Kingy.

Coarse it is

1. I am not sure a majority would have been excited. The quality of manager for the last 3 appointments has been bad. Cooper was the best of the three. Honestly, what decent manager wants this job right now?

2. It is a very low bar at the moment, so you may be right. What it will do is cost money and cause instability. When we went down to league 1 we changed managers three times I think. We have only 10 games left.

3. I am not confident that the board had any expectations/targets. We are in a fight against relegation at the moment. If you can't beat second form bottom you at home you are not that great.

It was for me.    I always thought our players were nowhere near as good as the media, pundits and many of our fans were saying.

They are one of the weakest group of players (physically and mentally) that I've ever seen.

I feel for him, he’s been given no help. Knows we have issues with a group of players who clearly don’t want to play for us and can’t do anything about it.

No manager will get a tune out of a majority of these players. He’s brought in three players, one was a flop, one unfortunately always injured and the other has been incredibly good for us (now injured). What more can be expected of him? When all he was allowed was loan players. People who say the youth academy is the way to go just need to look at Aluko when he was given a start…

This season was all about consolidation and getting through and staying in the league with the points deduction incoming.

I know fans want success and a better style of football but what and how is that possible when you have such a weak squad and one that isn’t good enough?

It's quite clear why people want Marti out. He isn't good enough. I'm one of those people and want him gone but let's be realistic, nothing will change after he's sacked.

It doesn't matter who gets the job. They will still have players below them who aren't good enough and don't want to be here and a board/owners above them who are incompetent and seem to have other priorities.

Usually the prospect of sacking a manager brings hope that things will get better but I don't have any hope at all for Leicester right now. Nor do I see any way out under the current regime. They don't know how to fix it and are unwilling to bring people in at board level who can.

And all of that is working under the assumption that they are JUST incompetent and not that there is something more sinister going on like them taking income from us to prop up their failing airport tuck-shops.

There have been worse than this. What has disappointed me is that I did not think under this ownership we would just be allowed to slide. They have had years to sort this out. First relegation big changes to the structure should have come and they haven't.

I think more people would have felt sorry for him if he didn’t persist with people like ayew and Thomas for so long when it wouldn’t be any worse giving a few of the younger lads a go. You can’t fill the whole team with the youth but when players are literally falling over why 2 seconds and can’t defend to save their lives it is worth giving them a go.
which every manager comes in will have the same problem until the other shites contracts are up.
feel sorry for whoever is appointed next already

Just because your squad isnt amazing doesnt mean you cant be coached well and have a clear system of play. We have neither. We have a manager who would rather play square pegs in round holes then have the bottle to play one of the younger players in his correct position. I.e Okoli at RB over an actual RB in Aluko

I get that a change of manager is simply not going to make things better. But perhaps a new regime will get rid of the playing out from the back nonsense that clearly invites pressure and mistakes, and make us better organised defensively. Abandon the inverted full back tactic, as that exposes us when we lose the ball too. We have the ability to score goals. What we desperately need in the next three months is the ability to grind out 4 or 5 dull 1-0 wins. We also need to resolve the Winks situation. Grown ups need to take charge. No one is going to buy him in the next week. We cannot afford to have a potentially helpful asset twiddling his thumbs when we are already desperately short of capable personnel

Agree with the the first bit, don't agree with the second bit.

A more competent manager wouldn't have needed as much help as Marti does. Seems a nice guy but clearly doesn't have the skillset for a club like Leicester in its current state.

Deeper problems need to be resolved, but a more experienced manager would get a much better tune out of this squad.

(Not hard - I've never seen us this unmotivated or disorganised since I started supporting us in 1992)
