BrilliantFox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January 11 AM was BS. Last night was BS. Marinakis would have sacked him in the tunnel.
Iwebema Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Whilst I do understand the sentiment of it wont get better. I highly doubt we are going to bring someone in that is suddenly going to turn us into promotion contenders, but we are going to get relegated under this guy, he is THAT bad, I think anyone coming in will be able to at least get a bit of new manager bounce to see us safe which would be an improvement. Basically stops the disaster of relegation, but doesnt fix the problem at source (top) 3

Knows we have issues with a group of players who clearly don’t want to play for us and can’t do anything about it. No manager will get a tune out of a majority of these players. He’s brought in three players, one was a flop, one unfortunately always injured and the other has been incredibly good for us (now injured). What more can be expected of him? When all he was allowed was loan players. People who say the youth academy is the way to go just need to look at Aluko when he was given a start… This season was all about consolidation and getting through and staying in the league with the points deduction incoming. I know fans want success and a better style of football but what and how is that possible when you have such a weak squad and one that isn’t good enough? I get where you’re coming from but to be where we are, not pressing or creating chances and defending like a bunch of idiots is totally unacceptable. We haven’t played well all season and deserve to be 6-7 positions lower. Yes, he’s had a poor hand but he’s still done a TERRIBLE job. At the very least, despite everything, we should’ve been around 7-9th but at least showing signs of improvement and playing well. 2 1

Is a dreadful source but it's still a big thing for a journalist to actually go with without being sure. It's not a transfer rumour that people barely expect to be accurate.

I agree with this, if you don't have the players then you can make up for it with hard work and good organisation. I just had a look at a replay of Oxford's second goal with a view from behind our goal. Before the break all of our players drifted over to our left and no one covered the break by 3 of their players. It makes me think that the last substitutions were a panic move and there was no plan as to the responsibilities of the players on the pitch. I get that he threw everything at getting an equaliser, but it lef Louis Page as our only central midfielder and he was pushing up to supprt the attack as well.

I know fans want success and a better style of football but what and how is that possible when you have such a weak squad and one that isn’t good enough? Bade Aluko was thrown into a game against one of the best teams *on paper* after having played 0 minutes all season in the first team.. and out of position (his favoured position is right back). That red card was what you get when you dont bring someone in slowly but instead throw him in the deep end in the big game. If Aluko had been given some minutes earlier in the season like Page and Monga had, he would have probably been slightly more up to speed and not made those mistakes.. Also its worth mentioning he got absolutely stitched up by Abdul on the counter twice who gave the ball away needlessly. Luke Thomas is no way a better defender than Bade Aluko. If Thomas was in Aluko's position that game, he wouldnt have even got near the winger to foul him! 6 2

With the squad we've got, the performances and results have been unacceptable. There are challenges but he's turning a treading water season into a down the pan season. You can say 'we knew it would take time' if we're outside the playoffs, but not if we're plummeting to the relegation zone. Edited 25 January by Bourbon Fox 1
Philkeavo Posted 25 January Posted 25 January In all likelihood he is going to be sacked today or tomorrow. What’s the chances the man child and his lapdog have done any kind of work in the background to source a new manager? We will plough on probably with King managing the crumbling mess of squad. Cifuentes sacking will, I fear, bring a temporary joy.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 25 January Posted 25 January The thing about Pete O’Rouke is he hedges his bets. Seen the Indykalia tweet. Shit performance again. There is a good chance the club lets him go. He might be right but needs a big hitter to tweet 2
