StevieH Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Unless they are willing to promote Andy King I honestly can't see them sacking him. We are in such a mess just don't think they will add to it. We have players who just aren't bothered as they are out of contract soon. Added to that not sure they can afford to sack him. We've somehow got to stay up and re group in the summer with new players and potentially new manager then. 1
Corky Posted 25 January Posted 25 January I'm going to defend him slightly in the respect that most of these first teamers have been carried by others in better teams. Ricardo was class but is declining. Fatawu has something but is inconsistent. James isn't ours. Thomas, Choudhury, Ayew, Reid all hitched a ride on the back of better and more skilful players here and elsewhere. Their weaknesses are stark. The youngsters are promising but you cannot build a top side around 16-18 year olds. This squad is hideous but don't compound it by playing garbage like Ayew when we need pace up front. Playing Ricardo out of position which exposes him. Nelson at left back. Just don't do it.

You say that but relegation would further add to the mess ten fold and this bloke is taking us there…. my mate is a big QPR fan and he called this situation the day he signed. Said he’ll do enough at times (e.g. win a couple of games to make you think there’s a good manager in there) but it never lasts and ultimately you’ll creep down the table whilst playing poor football Edited 25 January by kingpower 2

If you put this squad in the hands of someone like Daniel Farke who would just get them to, as an absolute minimum, run for 90 minutes, work hard and put teams under pressure then we'd be in the top six easily. 15

Sorry you can't defend conceding 23 games in a row and being bottom of the running stats Only 2 teams have conceded more than us, do you think worse squad than 21 teams? 1

Nick Posted 25 January Posted 25 January It's felt for a while that that there's a reluctance to sack him until we know our PSR punishment as we perhaps can't afford the payout or hiring a new candidate. Let's be honest, he was bargain basement anyway. Even if we did have cash to get somebody decent there's nobody at the club I'd trust at the moment to carry out a recruitment process.

Not to mention players like Choudary and Thomas being used by Sheffield Utd in the prem and challenging for play offs. Yeah they are not great, but they are better that the shit down the bottom of this league 3

Yeah, we need pace and movement hugely. I would probably go three at the back to remove the full backs, put Ricardo more central or further forward and have Daka, Mavididi and Monga involved somewhere (two up front?). Continually picking Thomas, Choudhury and Ayew is ridiculous.

He should go, we are terrible to watch and he isn't making the most of the few good players we have. It is still the worst squad for two decades, though. Majority of these have been dreadful for 17 months under three different managers.
