If it is indeed the case, it just strengths the view that Rudkin and Top need to go ASAP. If it's pissing money away on dog shit then we'll find the money. It's always when it's money we actually need to spend that we somehow never have it. 2 1
Corky Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 We never seriously grasp how important the manager is. Give them a three year deal and hope for the best, basically. 1

Unfortunately we’re in a near-impossible situation: we’re led by a nepo baby owner who just regards running the football club as one of his hobbies (and not even the most important one) but who retains a strong sentimental attachment to the club because his father died at the stadium and is commemorated there. This sentimental attachment is likely making him very reluctant to sell up but he’ll never have the acumen, drive or personality to run the club effectively, leaving us in a terrible stalemate from which there is no obvious escape. Eventually even the KPFC mob will turn, although we might be in League 2 or administration when that happens, sadly. 1
Mickyblueeyes Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 At some point he has to feel like a jackass saying the same shit every week expecting people to believe it. I mean he already looks like a jackass but just a question when he starts to feel it himself
CrazyKopCorner Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 Just not up to the job. We need prime Nigel, a man who can move tall mountains. Marti nice guy but so out of his depth he drowned months ago 1

Great Boos Up Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 I was Puel in and I’m Marti in. We would still be Premier League under Puel and if you switch Marti we’ll be div 1. Both a bit shit but recognising the financial disaster and keeping players accommodated.

Roosters boots Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Rumours Nuno getting sacked at West Ham, would you take him here, being ex Forest like cooper ? 2

Absolutely, Nuno would be a brilliant appointment. I had no issue with Cooper being ex Forest it was the fact he was absolute muck that bothered me. 10

westernpark Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 I’d take Nuno, I’d also take Emery, Arteta, Guardiola, Slot and co. The club is so far gone they are just as likely. We have no money. Cifuentes is our lowest paid manager since Pearson’s first contract here.

Think about it logically. He has had full contracts paid for Spurs, Forest and if sacked, West Ham (hes on a 3 year deal). He will be absolutely minted. Surely, he only gets coerced back if its worth it. We won't be. Edited 29 December 2025 by Chelmofox

Funny when you say it like that isn’t it! How broken football is that the worst job you do, the richer you are😂 like Graham Potter!

Read the West ham forums and you can see fierce views from them on how bad they think Nuno is. Low block, not playing a striker etc. Many thinking he is now just trying to get the sack and doesn't give a sh1t. Seems like you need to do one good job and a club that is right for you, then you can get 2/3/4 clubs hiring you on 3 year deals that set you up for the rest of your life. All you got to do is look back to Brendan Rodgers! He totally threw in the towel...He was never handing in his resignation though was he, with a £7m payout at the end of it or whatever the sum was! 1

The merry-go-round of the same names is staggering
Brenfox Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Whilst he is not entirely blameless where would we be under Ruud or Cooper? I suspect pretty much the same position. The fact is the club has been hampered by diabolical recruitment for a number of years. I would be interested to see what kind of players Marti wants in January. Again whilst not blameless any manager coming in is stuck with the players we have.
