kiddo Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Reminds me of Roger’s picking the team in his last days. Like he’s trying to get sacked. No other explanation unless he really is that useless.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Can’t believe given the last 2 results and performances he has barely made any changes, unbelievable.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 This football is so lame and one dimensional, really hope we don’t come out in the 2nd half and do our usual of sitting back and inviting pressure. 2
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 His usual sit back in the second half when we have a lead.... absolutely dross manager. Negative 2

coolhandfox Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Good result, but we look so poorly coached. 1
Eskay Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 He looked like a man full of relief at the end there.
The Doctor Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 so tired of him sitting us right back and defending a one goal lead for 40+ minutes. what happened to the expansive attacking coach he claimed to be pre season 4
Popular Post cityfanlee23 Posted 29 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 29 December 2025 (edited) We are 4 points off of the playoffs because of how inconsistent this division is, next season will be MUCH harder imo. If we expect to get a 6 point deduction after any appeals, that currently leaves us 10 points off playoffs with half of the season still left to play, plenty of teams have made up those gaps in the past. Despite our best efforts to destroy ourselves, this season is still salvageable, imo that is still doable if we bring in an interim. We absolutely NEED loans in January. Goes absolutely mental telling the players to get higher up the pitch, which in itself shows the problem is that he can't influence these players. 6
Popular Post lcfc sheff Posted 29 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 29 December 2025 Send Ramsay and Carranza back, try and drain more of the swamp and get him a striker. (I’m presuming he won’t be sacked as we haven’t really heard a rumour yet??) 7
Rubbersoul Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 We will never go on a bad enough run to get him sacked me thinks. We’ll get battered by Sheff Utd then beat West brom and so on 2
filthyfox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Since 8/11, Marti has had a 50% win rate.... Just saying 2
Popular Post Raj Posted 30 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 December 2025 I flutter between him being sacked and then keeping him. At the end of the day this is the calibre of manager we are going to attract, from a mod table championship club unless we take a punt on an up and coming one. Hes been " gifted" some very shit players and atleast he has binned the likes of Faes, Winks out. Hes bedded in some youth players which is a positive as it's always a dangerous task putting pressure on kids when the crowd is almost willing a mistake. I think considering the financial sh1t KP is in, the sh1t he has inherited, the turmoil and negativity surrounding the club, how crap this league is, hes doing about us good as he can. 5

This season is not salvageable, plenty of teams have yes, not ones that are inconsistent concede too many poor goals and totally lack of persistent goal threat. For every successful signing we make there are normally 3 terrible ones so the odds of someone half decent coming in in January who can actually improve our fortunes is minimal.

I am a bit the same. I actually really like Marti and I want him to be a success, I also feel there is a lot of stuff going on in the background that hasn’t helped him in these early months, it will be interesting to see where we are as a squad come the end of the transfer window. If we can get 4 or 5 of the usual suspects out and that creates some opportunity to bring in 3 or 4 frees/loans then it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season pans out as the nucleus of the current matchday squad do seem to behind him. 2

He was going crazy in the 2nd half against Derby, asking the attackers to push up higher. Worringly they just ignored him. I think that's why he changed things pretty early. Opens up the question of how much respect and authority he has within the squad.

Depends what you mean by salvageable. If you mean get promoted then (apart from being relegated) I think that is the worst outcome. This squad is so far from prem quality it would be embarrassing. We have the quality in the academy and the young players out on loan to form the basis of a strong squad but that needs careful nurturing through strong leadership on and off the pitch and will take time. I would prefer another season or two in the championship if it means a strong, and sustainable, future. Edited 30 December 2025 by CUJimmy
Spanner73 Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 I bet that Khun Top would be smiling like a Cheshire Cat hearing you lot are blaming the manager just like you blamed it all on Cooper and RVN respectively. Wake up !!! As usual KP continue to walk on water.

We wouldn't be going into a Prem season with this squad though. Look at Sunderland. Of course we could be just as shit but I don't get this idea that we go up and we're playing the same players we are this season. We wouldn't be able to in a lot of instances anyway because we'll be letting a number of them go out of contract.
Pliskin Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 It was another one we got away with. Mainly because Derby are shit. But we’ve got to be realistic now, those choosing to praise him, but it’s the final days of 2025, and there’s been zero improvement over the second part of the year. There’s no evidence of a style of play, there’s zero flexibility in his plan, there seems not to be a plan. His subs are generally poorly times and not thought out properly. We’re so susceptible to being pressed and turns over that it’s becoming a real blueprint for teams to beat us (as we will see on NYD)…. I just don’t like him, don’t rate him as a manager, we’re poorly coached and poorly set up. His tenure here won’t be remembered fondly after he’s finally booted…. Which I now think won’t be until the summer depending on if we manage to stay up…. But he’s not he man to take us forward. 2
