all depends on where you see your goals coming from, playing away from home against a team above you in the league, it’s likely we will need someone to play with their back to goal so we can catch them on the break and play  others in. He’s not got the pace to be  hitting them on the  break himself. If he scores, I’d imagine it will be because he’s arriving into the space created by the wingers taking the ball to the line and passing back.

Name a single game we’ve looked dangerous with Ayew playing upfront? There will be few if any succesful teams in history that havent had a forward that scores regularly

Since when did paramount plus do bias commentary? Millwall Alan Young talking about how Aaron Ramsey did well to recover from his stint at Cardiff… how we’ve not been to the Den since they beat us in the FA Cup, etc etc

Amateur hour

This is why people who think football pundits are actually any decent, especially compared to other sports, must be living in some kind of parallel universe.

I’ve never said he’s a good player or that I like him, just explained his role when he does play that position.

the issue is he doesn't play that role particularly well, hence why our goal threat this season has basically just been Abdul trying to hit a banger each week

right. Agreed. So we have to adapt how we play and the way we do that is by him playing with his back to goal a bit more to try and play others in.. and he’s not particularly good at that either really lol
