RowlattsFox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Has to be someone who can galvanise the players firstly, in the short term, as hopefully we'll be rid of them come the summer but perhaps more importantly he needs to be able galvanise supporters. There is so much disconnect that fans will turn on anyone quickly if it's not someone they can get behind. **** knows who that is though.

For me anyone but another manager that tries to be the players mate! I want someone who’ll go through them for not putting a shift in He manages the Sweden national team now. I think the Potter to Leicester ship has sailed now, at least for a few seasons. I'd be happy with Pearson-King. 2
scinnell Posted 25 January Posted 25 January I've always liked Gary O'Neil, but I think he would be the wrong fit as he has struggled with dressing rooms at Bournemouth and Wolves towards the end of his tenure. Could Gary Rowett be an option - always liked him, has the right profile, no nonsense British manager - but I must admit that I haven't closely followed his career recently.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January I am hearing Gary Rowett. Whilst his cv suggests he keeps us up it show just how far we have fallen. That said if king gets a win v Charlton he is cheap and easy so it will him based on very little.

Gary O'Neil took over from Rosenior at Strasbourg 1

I’d don’t care about style, never have. Rather just win with a long ball or SP and then 10 behind the ball than 500 sideways passes but Rowetts style is certainly not the Man City way as top apparently wants (even though it’s flawed) Edited 25 January by Cincinnati Fox

hizit Posted 25 January Posted 25 January @Ric Flair There can be only 1 realistic appointment, someone that strikes' fear in to the opposition, and the groundsman, big man on the touchline. 1

Maybe promote him to assistant manager and get him to learn from an experienced manager would be better..
moore_94 Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Most likely to be someone with previous Championship experience and currently out of work, meaning the options would be: Gary Rowett Will Still Jon Dahl Tomasson Russell Martin Carlos Carvalhal Tony Mowbray
StevieH Posted 25 January Posted 25 January We are in such a mess can't see past Andy King for the rest of the season. Who is going to want the job with a points deduction coming, players finishing their contract and not being arsed, our top earner Winks behaving like a big baby and frozen out. Added to that losing their heads after yesterday's game shows lack of discipline.

South Shire Fox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Id probably take Rowett until the end of the season with King as his assistant at this moment. Two ex Leicester players who know the club. Probably better options like Mowbray though

You buy/find a 9 that can be a threat down the middle of the pitch to occupy the CBs and have a 10 that can play between the lines and drift wide to occupy a FB. At the moment we have no real threat down the middle so teams double up and keep our wingers wide knowing that a cross into the box isn't going to amount to anything dangerous.

Cropwellfox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January (edited) Cannot be King, would end up as a disaster and ruin his standing with the supporters, especially as he won’t be allowed to bring in much of a back room staff if ‘interim’ Rowett is somehow inexplicably about the best we can hope for Edited 25 January by Cropwellfox 1

RowlattsFox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January I'm sorry but I struggle to accept that Gary Rowett would be our best option 1
