Don’t know close we got to getting him, but Rohl doing well at Rangers and appears to have been the better choice over Marti. Too late now mind.

Aiyawatt has crippled the club so much that they couldn't afford to pay his compensation.

Rowett's time at Burton, Birmingham (first time), Derby and Millwall he hasnt done bad. Just dodgy spells at Stoke and Oxford.

To be fair he kept Oxford up and stoke were a bit all over the place at the time.

There was a lot of confusion with Rohl. Lots of clubs showed interest at the time, but no one took the plunge. I think we lost patience waiting for Rohl to make his mind up.

Why don't we want Neil Lennon? Is he shit? Always thought he was the kind of manager who takes no shit and could turn us around

Managed Bolton about 10 years ago and was useless. Scottish League is his level.

He only fairly recently joined Dunfermline as Manager.

Keep finding myself going to justify others with this kind of reasoning, then I remember lol

Miron Muslic.

Should have gone for him in the summer.
Although can’t see him leaving Schalke for us.
They look like they’ll be promoted.

He’s done an outstanding job there, they’ve been a basket case for 5 or more years and he’s going to get them up. Crowds of 60k plus week in week out, not a hope in hell he leaves that

It'll be Andy King until the end of the season. 100%

If we do we are 100% getting relegated - these absolute charlatans aren’t playing for him - no chance

They’ll wait to see how kingy gets on and then decide whether to go for a permanent manager or not or give it him till the end of the season.

They were planing initially on giving it Stowel and Sadler in 22/23 season.

Reckon he's like a Michael Carrick-type - calm, will have respect of a majority of the playing staff and has a good relationship with the fans.

Obviously it's a risk, given his lack of managerial experience, but this could actually work.

Any manager that is mildly adequate and getting rid of deadwood, sticking a rocket up the arses of passengers or arrogant players, and can bring through several youth academy products (plenty to choose from).

Someone that can instil standards and take no shit. The manager/player power balance needs shifting back to equality.

Its whether he has the tactical nous, he's been in coaching here for maybe a year now?

It needs a complete rebuild. If we could persuade him and afford him, I’d look at Mark Robins. He completely rebuilt Cov, he knows the division and the club. It’s whether he’d want it tho.

King’s a ‘Yes man’, he was as a player and I don’t think he’d be strong enough as a manager.

I know others have said he (Robins) wouldn’t touch it, but I’d still argue that our infrastructure (Training ground/stadium) gives us an advantage over Stoke, but that won’t count for much in 2-3 years time, when the playing squad and budget diminishes further. It’d be worth asking the question, I’d say.

There's a good angle in there.

It seems to me that if, with our straitened funds etc, we'll have trouble interesting anyone, then we could look at managers who like to bring on youth ... Point out our amazing crop of youngsters coming through from all age groups, and our second-to-none training facility. The bonus is we might get someone in who genuinely tries to integrate our youths as quickly as is possible.

I'd like to see our first team training flooded with our best young prospects.  It would be easier to prioritise fitness training (sorely needed), the youngsters wouldn't be so tainted by our septic older pros because they wouldn't be outnumbered by them, and it would spur on the recalcitrants to redouble their efforts to shape up  (at threat of being dropped) and to show more commitment.

Has he got coaching badges already?
