James would become a 50m player under Gerrard That is some stretch. Steve Bruce was a great defender at the top of the league but he couldn’t organise a defence to save his life. Gerrard has been abysmal everywhere he has been other than one period at Rangers where people credit Beale for most of the success. Didn’t see much fight for the shirt in his 35% win rate at Villa. More signs point to Gerrard relegating you rather than turning James into a record value for a Championship player. 3

Chelmofox Posted 5 February Posted 5 February Any evidence we have actually spoken to anyone? We are in a relegation fight!
AYLESBURY FOX 1961 Posted 5 February Posted 5 February We could employ jesus as our next manager and he wouldnt be capable of getting the useless bunch of wasters that we have as our players show one ounce of fight and togetherness and spirit - they have no professional pride - if they did they wouldnt show up for one half of a game and then be inept in the other half - they only try when it suits them - which isnt often. The deduction would galvanise any other fan base and group of players - forest and everton made a positive show that they realised it was now all down to the players - our bunch of shrinking violets will just be looking for the exit door and their next pay cheque - bloody hell i hate them all

LCFCCHRIS Posted 5 February Posted 5 February (edited) If the rumours are true, as mentioned on BTG, Pearson is fit and willing. Get him in on 6 month contract with option for a year more and give him a big staying up bonus. The only man that can grab this fking club by the scruff of its neck and drag it into winning again. That’s what I hope. What I fear is we’ll go for a Russel Martin type and the fans will be pissed off before we’ve even seen how they perform. Edited 5 February by LCFCCHRIS 4

I think will improve now Cifuentes has gone and we’ve got some new faces in, and finish around mid-table. Then a genuine rebuild will begin in the summer. Edited 6 February by ClaphamFox 1
teblin Posted 6 February Posted 6 February Surely there will be some movement on this over the next few days now we have some clarity on the points situation.

AjcW Posted 6 February Posted 6 February 7 minutes ago, Nick said: Dean Smith being mooted FFS Why are all these people leaving their comfortable MLS lives for Championship shit shows To be honest when we signed Mukasa and Richards my immediate thought was John Terry due to his Chelsea/West Ham academy links/knowledge... so maybe the band are getting back together. If he brings Walsh back with him. Sound!
RedSoxUK Posted 6 February Posted 6 February Yeah Dean Smith with Steve Walsh coming back as technical director. 2
Popular Post CosbehFox Posted 6 February Popular Post Posted 6 February 15 minutes ago, Nick said: Dean Smith being mooted FFS Personally think he has a CV which suggest he would be a good fit. Thinking of the job he did at Villa - sorting out a squad built by Bruce and getting them promoted. Also think his time at LCFC is harshly judged as well - other than the Fulham game, he gave it a good go and I am certain if he was in charge for that Bournemouth game, we'd have got the points. 7
