I would imagine that a properly run club would have a contingency plan with a list of potential next managers at any one time.

I’m not sure I’d want  Marinakis, but 5mil compo, plus another 5mil for the new guy ( rinse repeat) is small change and excellent value when it’s his ego at stake, it’s also cultural Thais are behind the scenes and private the Crazy Fat Greek does not give a flying fu@k.

I will still raise my question from yesterday to the club's hierarchy - then why sack Marti???

If you knew damn well you didn't have a competent replacement lined up, why sack him? Let Marti sort his mess out rather than setting Andy King up for failure.

  Triple signing, maybe?

want to  announce the ‘ new team’ all at once?

or like you say, could just be incompetence!

Is this from you relative at the club or you just guessing/hopng?

Just seen Dyche in the new Ashby Lidl, asked him if his friend Rudkin has been in touch and he told me to **** off.

I had him down as a M&S food guy. Glad he's still grounded and going to Aldi.

I'd get Dyche in, read social media that the forest players didn't like his tough training methods. Now Forest have a luvvydovvy manager to the players and fans

We’d all get Dyche in after the last week…

but read the room, we’re on a crash course towards league one, why on earth would he come here? This has got to stop lol

Its obvious at this point like previous sackings its another on the spot sacking of emotion without planning ahead.

If Marti was to be sacked the new guy should be in place within a few days.

I'm guessing a few potential candidates won't fancy a short contract or one with a relegation clause. Stating the obvious but we really need a manager who can keep us up and hopefully also help rebuild  the team & culture. Few managers have both skills, even if they do the board needs to function effectively to support this. Worrying times.

I'm not a fan of Dyche but I think he's a good fit for us now.

Yep plus the clueless moron said in an interview 4 hours before hand that Marti needed time and support. Club find new ways to become a parody of themselves weekly. Sheer, utter incompetence of the highest order. Once again they complacently planned for Kingy to get quick results so they wouldn’t have to react. Not that they’ll have told him that either of course.

My top 3, if looking at those who would likely be a good fit for what we need and not completely unrealistic would be Pearson, Smith or Dyche.

Any of them probably give us the best chance possible.

Emotion implies that they care. It’s incompetence at best.

Used to see him at Passion Coalville back in the old days. Loves a rave he does!

This would make sense.

but please note the sacking was done  when top had time in his schedule to fly in.

Contract until 1 June. Reasonable salary. Big bonus if we stay up (payable in next financial year). Then, he can stay on or go elsewhere.

Pearson is pretty much the only person who would get everyone on board and behind him and the players straight away. Time is something we don’t have. The next 14 games is about not going bust in my view - it’s that serious. As much as we need to get a tune out of the players, we also need an appointment that’s going to get the crowd back. Pearson would do that imo, and is worth a punt.

Just beyond me how thousands of people can see this is an existential problem ahead of us and the decision makers are seemingly oblivious to it. Mind boggling
