Can't wait for our King Power owned and designed kit manufacturer next season....

Tell you what, no matter how terrible he turns out to be, he's going to get a ****ing shock when he see's the 'talent' he's managing in our commercial and marketing departments.... he's got more experience than everyone combined lol

Not even remotely read into this bloke but let’s be honest we’ve reached the point of negativity on here/generally that anyone will be shot down when realistically no one cares enough to look into it enough.

Exactly this.

I understand that he's got pedigree and a decent track record and reputation. Whilst he isn't the guy from Barcelona people would hope for on here....he certainly isn't a local Leicester guy who has worked here for 20 years and gets promoted to the role. He's an actual external voice with real experience.

Good luck to him.

Also to add - he is a director....he's not the top brass in the club and will report into whoever becomes and CEO and have a dotted line into Rudders. You'll probably never hear from him. His job is to get sponsors through the door and open up streams of revenue for the club.

I think for people who have read into it though, and people who are aware of SERIOUS talent in this space that is currently available... people who have worked hard to form legit partnership deals with reputable companies.... it's just disappointing to see us go down a very predictable South East Asia connections route....

We need to be realistic though. Most top drawer talent wouldn't touch Leicester at the moment.

Secondly from a partner perspective, we have some way to go before big/reputable brands come knocking. For now I would expect to see more Asian brands and murky gambling sponsors etc etc.

Awful form, financial instability, widespread criticism of leadership, declining attendances etc etc....Apple and Sony won't be answering calls for now.

But I reckon there are some clever deals that could be explored with reputable companies that have links to the city, a decent and reputable shirt sponsor might just see a big increase in merch sales which covers any shortfall and more in what we recieve from some of the murky sponsors we have seen in recent seasons.

Exactly.

KP have found another yes man who will go along with dodgy dealings rather than build local and national partnerships.

It's not just shirt sponsors too, it's manufacturers. Ashley who I have mentioned on here brought in Hummell at Sunderland and they've been a revelation up there, forming great engaging relationships with fans, understanding the clubs culture and heritage and creating fantastic kits every season.

This is the same Ryan that’s actually worked in football, at various different professional clubs, trying to do good things.

An experienced industry insider and a Leicester fan. Let’s deride his opinion and dismiss it. That’s FoxesTalk.

Sunderland appear to be in good nick...gerrimin as Technical Director
The article says he's was a pivotal figure in the clubs' rise from League One to the Prem

Ghisolfi has transformed them.... this guy was hated at Birmingham and had a very very shaky start at Sunderland. I didn't even realise he was still there to be honest.

I do think he's done well there though, quite like him... but there's some stuff from previous roles that would worry me.

Reading the Sunderland statement is interesting and exactly how we should think.... get someone in for a few years to restructure things, then **** them off for someone better as soon as you're in a position to do so.

We're stuck with 15 year + in role across all departments.

Sunderland fans sound gutted to be fair, must be nice to think of a sporting director like that lol

Russell Jones

He introduced Wolves records, the first football club owned record label - unsigned artists will soon be providing the music for our kit launches

Talking of kit launches, we can expect next years to be a fashion show in Bangkok

He also expanded Wolves esports into Brazil and China

Pretty much everything a standard football fan would not be interested in

That was all under the command of Jeff Shi, the CEO who recently stepped down. He was fvcking obsessed with esports.

Burton have moved to Admiral for their kits, was jealous of that.

Feels like we're on a similar journey to Sunderland. This Kristjaan Speakman is credited with helping getting them back to where they are now:

"Time will be immensely kind to Speakman's tenure as the club's sporting director, and he will undoubtedly be remembered in time as one of the most important figures in Sunderland’s modern history. There were missteps along the way but Speakman fundamentally changed the course of the club's trajectory, implementing a brave recruitment model that had been deployed successfully at other clubs in English football but never at a club at this size and under such scrutiny. The success of Speakman's project can be easily understood by noting the sheer number of clubs in the EFL now trying to take the same path"

The comments under Sunderlands X post are amazing as well. Fans in shock and lots of thanks.
