Srivaddhanapraha insists he is working hard to improve the club’s set-up. The appointment of the club’s first ever technical director, who will report directly to Rudkin, is close, while a new chief executive and commercial director will be appointed soon.

All these top dogs reporting into Rudkin. Couldn't make it up!!!

No one should report to Rudkin. Rudkin should report to no one.

Ergo, he should be fired and that would go someway to it being a successful overhaul.

Was literally about to post the same thing. Sounds like the TD’s hands may well be tied if he wants to implement something Rudkin doesn’t like. He should have zero power and be moved as far away from the club as possible. I’m not meaning to sound defeatist but the whole thing seems pointless if people still need to answer to Rudkin as absolutely nothing will change. It’s so frustrating!

The fact that they will simply be public scapegoats with little real power aside - I have absolutely zero faith in these idiots to appoint competent people to these positions in the first place.

Sporting Director appointed or all but appointed.

It's the Southampton guy, it's clear as day. Will be a feb announcement as they won't want him leaving during a window.

I wonder how long it will be before we see headlines like "Leicester City employ their 4th TD in 3 years".

I don't get it. Southampton are in a really good place compared to us aren't they.

Already been reported it won’t be him and he is staying at Southampton hasn’t it?

I guess his two roles have been Academy Director and now Director of Group Talent Strategy.

Both youth focused roles where purely based on results he's had a lot of success (number of first team debuts, selling Dibling for £50m etc etc)

Not saying it's the best move, but you can see why he'd come up in a search.

Fair enough, last i'd heard was about the talks happening.

Its going to be a Rudkin yes man, the fact Rudkin is still here and seemingly promoted after one of the biggest declines in football history shows nothing will change. I expect that we will be in League 2 in the next couple of years if this continues, or certainly a prolonged period in League 1. I wonder what KPFC happy clappers will say then? Remember we were? oh wait...shit!

Rukin needs to **** off, im not sure how many more complete and utter failures he will be allowed.

It's quite clear that the owner is clearly completley relying on Rudkin as his 'man on the ground'  to deal with the club - which is terrifying.

I don’t think it’s talked about enough.

We achieved footballs greatest story and miracle.

But the decline HAS to be the biggest in history, surely?

It’s not like Villa, Newcastle or Leeds getting relegated because we’ve achieved a heck of a lot more than them in the modern era.

It’s nothing like the decline of Bolton too for example for the same reasons + size of our clubs.

Did I hear him say sporting director?

All these rumours about Coleman coming, he couldn't be the one they've lined up for the Technical Directors job, could he?! Lots of experience (though not necessarily the right experience) and Rudkin has 'worked' with him at Leuven.

Maybe, more football experience than Rudkin too.

I think the market we will be in is someone going into their 1st sporting/technical director role. Whether than be someone young or someone changing path as a more senior manager.

The only way Rudkin leaves is through retirement.

It's clear he isn't going to be sacked under the current ownership. From his point of view, he's in his 50s - a nice package, long service, reasonably expensive to terminate, and he seems to hold all the cards with Top - he will just sail now until he is financially able to retire. Ging nowhere and we have to accept this.

Allied to which this thread was off the back of percy's article 14th November. Top said this week we are looking for.........

That's 10 weeks later and NOTHING has happened.

They just realise the team is performing abysmally and the fans are up in arms

Its just to keep the locals at bay.....

A good TD / CD will likely be in employment and have to give 3+ months notice which would be in addition to finding them in the first place.

I'd rather it took a bit of time as it's more likely to indicate we're getting someone half decent with the relevant experience.

Surely if we did land anybody talented and they're working under Rudkin, they will last 6-12 months before looking for a new gig after realising their boss is inept and they're stuck on a sinking ship.
