They probably saw he was a no nonsense guy with a back bone, quite the opposite of what was appointed

I could've told anyone that just from an outside point of view so they were willing to talk to him. I just wonder what specifically it was - it's probably what you say. Could be style of play.

 

He's who we should've appointed for what it's worth. There's just no way we'd be this bad.

If the club wanted to go down the lazy route with recruiting, get Potter and his DOF mate in and let them crack on. 
 

Move Rudders to cleaning out the stables and Top can enjoy his polo and coming to watch the games. 
 

Simple fix, what's next...

Funnily enough there is such a candidate in League One who I may or may not have seen a screenshot of him being asked whether he'd be interested and he's said No as he allegedly wouldn't ever work with Rudkin 😂

Apologies if there’s an obvious answer to this question, but is are there differences between technical, sporting directors and director of football? Are they all simply different names for the same role or do have different responsibilities?

No bold strategy or holding the manager to account a la Wilcox at Manchester United, purely a strategic buy young lads cheap to sell on / develop our own lads to sell.
